I actually liked Mello, if only because he wasn't Near. And I still maintain that their names are meant to be pronounced 'Nero' and 'Mero'. Makes tons more sense, I swear.

I'm rather hooked on Code Geass right now, but the melodrama heights it often reaches are nothing I'll defend (and I haven't even seen this week's episode yet, so), but I'll at least mention that it's spelled 'Kallen', and she's only *half* Japanese, so it all TOTALLY makes sense... Yeah, I got nothin'. I like the show, but frankly, the only difference between Light Yagami and Le-Douche is the blind, crippled little sister that's supposed to make you feel some sympathy for Louchebag. Bleh, at least the story's actually suited to an ongoing series, unlike Death Note. No good reason that should've been a full-length TV show...

That's another thing I'll never understand about Japanese shows. I know two people of half Japanese, half white ethnicity, as well as three half Chinese and a half Korean. Not a single one of them has hair that isn't black or brown. I'm pretty sure it's an impossibility for a half caucasian, half east asian individual to inherit low melanin hair from their white parent.

Gurren-Lagann is the best because everything is governed by the rule of coo- I mean Spiral Power.

Never watched that show. I've really become tired of most robot anime shows now. A man can only handle so much Nekketsu, you know.

That, and once I learned of the square-cube law, it makes those shows even harder to watch.
