Eh, I was hoping for Skybyte. Mostly for the reason that I think Wheeljack probably would have been autoinducted within the next year or so (as Prowl probably will too).

I was hoping more for BW Megatron... But Wheeljack was my second choice so I'm happy.

Still not sure why so many people pushed for Skybite.

I just think it is funny that in a couple of years, people will be fuzzy on who the fan's choice in '12 was, because it is the first year that it was not a Transfurry.

Yes! Nice get, Wheeljack gets credibility but not as much as I feel like he deserves within the fandom, so this is a good win. Thanks for keeping us posted on the matter. Prime Wheeljack is not a bad figure, I quite like him - I gave him DOTM Sideswipe's big gun and it fits him well too - he's worth picking up for the $12/$13 pricepoint.

I can't say I would have minded BW Megs winning, they had his toys on display and it reminded me how much I liked many of them, and I heard his voice in my head, so that's pretty much all I'd need for a HOF vote.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

Wow, really? I heard people bitching for YEARS for him to get a new toy before he finally did.

Anyway, Wheeljack wins... *yawn*. I was really hoping for Sky-Byte, failing that, BW Megatron, and failing that, Prowl. I'm really pretty ambivalent towards Wheeljack. Don't think he's a bad character by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm not sure what he's done that makes him deserving of being in the Hall of Fame. Besides existing in 1984, and there's a dozen guys there doing that already.

He's endearing! And, at least now, he's being included hardcore in pretty much all relevant TF media. He was in DOTM (debatable as him, I guess, but whatever), he's in Prime, and he's had a pretty big role in RID so far. (He was even on the cover of one issue despite not even being in it.)

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

I wanted to see Skybyte just to have RID represented in the HoF. At least then we'd have some continuity other than G1 and since the BW story continued from G1, I'd argue that it's all G1.

Right there with you. I was really pulling for SkyByte. Maybe he'll get auto-inducted next year.

He's getting put into IDW's RID soon, so hey!

Wheeljack was the first TF to transform on screen. He is visually iconic. And, he did stuff in both the old comics and cartoons and in newer comics.

Skybite? Well, he was in a cartoon that barely made a ripple in the chamber pot.

There is a huge difference between "Hall of Fame" and "insular fan favourite".

-would have been happier with Prowl, but pulled for Wheeljack for practical reasons.
