Sorry for taking so long to post. I have been very tired lately. (Boston went from summer, quickly to fall, then Indian Summer, and now to early winter. That is not the only reason I am tired, but it ain't helping.)
That said, I plan to pick up the continuity question in the comics threat. If anyone wants to start it down there, feel free.
I've never set up a pull list at my comic shop. I'm not even 100% sure what that *is* or how I would do so. I just go over to the 'new this week' rack on Wednesday and pick up whatever I'm keeping up on at the moment, or anything that interests me. I'm such a n00b.
A pull-list is bascially an agreement where the store holds copies of certain books for you, and you buy them. Usually, there is a discount of some kind associated with this. (The idea is that the store gives the discount in return for a guaranteed sale.) The advantage for you is that you are much less likely to miss an issue. The down-side is that the store will probably obligate you to give notice before dropping a book. (I can be obligated for as much as a month of 2 after dropping a book, meaning that it is not even worth dropping a mini-series.)
In theory, the only book I read that I have to worry about is "Action Comics", as I refuse to subscribe to an DC book. In practice, I am ordering my comics two months ahead, if only to make sure the guy orders them. (I get a 15% discount, which plays a role in me sticking around at this store.)
Your best bet for setting one up is to talk to the store's manager.
McCarthy has Tweeted recently that he's doing some kind of new TF-related project for IDW, so I'm happy that the Last Stand of the Wreckers won't be the only thing I'm interested in coming from IDW.
When is "Wreckers" coming out? I am in for all of IDW's G1 comics. I am dropping "Animated", and (quite honestly) not sure if I am still reading the UK movie-themed reprints.
Clearly, but the thing is, one Autobot had all the Decepticons needed to bring down all of the Autobot forces, every Autobot ship, every base, every installation, everything everywhere? That I find way over the top. The Autobots are smart enough to know you don't allow one access to every security clearance (or what have you) for exactly this reason.
That assumes that the Decepticons did not hacking on top of just using what they had though. Just having some codes would give them a basis to guess what the other codes were.
"Large numbers"? There were several siding with Starscream, but compared to the rest of the Decepticon army, I wouldn't exactly call that a large amount. Not large enough it would really impact the over all force of the entire Decepticon army anyway. As you've said, perhaps Megatron may have anticipated less rebelling, but that doesn't change the direction the story was going in.
If Megatron expects Starscream to take over, then he is unlikely to simply kill the guy out of hand.
Of course, I realized, (while re-reading AHM this weekend), Megatron may well have been lying through his teeth when he told Starscream that his day would come. We *know* Megatron is lying when he says nothing suprises him, as evidenced by his reaction to Starscream's coup. (Et tu Scrapper?)
Of course, was we all seem to be agreeing Megatron's plan was not the best, he might have been making it up as he went along.
As for Reflector. In real terms, it is almost certainly a mistake. In context, it might be revealed that Reflector was found and repaired, or that the guys in AHM are a different, if similar, team of characters.
