Like I said, with the Classics line on hold soon, there's no reason to ask if they're gonna do another one - they ain't, not this year anyway.

You're talking about the cassette Ravage that came with the Hound figure, correct? This is a bit different; BW Ravage is totally different in design and aesthetics to G1 Ravage, so releasing a new version of the latter doesn't necessarily mean they can't have plans to release a new version of the former.

...But that's still Ravage. Yeah, I know, I don't care.

With Ravage confirmed as a movie figure it's likely we won't get too much else Ravage-wise aside from Movie Ravage for ages. The more Ravage the merrier, but I'm not in favour of asking about upcoming lines because we'll find out the answer anyway in time. This is an excuse to ask questions we would not know the answers to otherwise, and add a little bit to the fandom's knowledge base.

I'd rather know if they ever did find the X-9 Jaguar mould, and how a mould gets physically lost anyway. They're huge and metal!


Although that's probably along the lines of "Hey guys, can you find [serial number x]?" "No." "Can you look real hard?" "No." "Well, darn." I doubt Hasbro designers go scout around the factories looking for the moulds themselves.

Archer sleeps like a dragon on a pile of "lost" moulds every night, drinking from a goblet of gold plastic. That's my theory

Yeah, that's what I imagine it to be too. The moulds for lots of stuff got shipped around quite a bit back in the day--this is also true of the vintage GI Joe line, with many moulds getting shipped across to Brazil, Argentina, and India, and some of the moulds just plain getting lost there, or they ended up there and became uncategorized. I suppose it happens.

I'm really surprised this thread straight halted. I'm sending in the questions tonight, so I'll check back then to see if anybody's come up with anything else to suggest.

If only. These molds are left in the hands of their factories, they are giant metal slabs basically, and they rotate them in and out all day. Imagine looking for a lost file folder in a filing cabinet, now imagine each file folder is 10 feet square and weighs several tons, and can only be moved via forklift, and there's a chance that folder may be in a different filing cabinet in a different building. You begin to see why it's hard to find lost molds.

I do want to know why 25th Cheetor and Dinobot are considerably suckier than most of the line, but still kick Galvatron's sorry ass. Heh.

Okay, question. How do the designers feel about official stock photography often being photoshopped and mistransformed? It clearly does not show the product off to its full potential, and reflects poorly on their hard work.

Mmm, that is a great question, and I really want to ask it. But, since I'm already asking from the other site I report for that question about grimy photoshopping, I am going to hold off for now.

You read my mind on that Cheetor & Dinobot thing, that was fighting for the 3rd question I was putting over on AF. I still think Galvs is a nifty figure and way better than either of them tho'.
