If you could pick another Titan sized TF toy,who would it be

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

Maybe if they were going to a direct reimagining of their G1 versions but I don't think that's what they would do. I think a new Fort Max would probably just be Titan class like Metroplex. Heck, I wouldn't even put it past them to just repaint Metroplex into Fort Max.

Or, give us a voyager sized one based on his IDW appearances and not even make him a city at all.

Honestly it differs & depends on the different media/toy fiction the varios City-formers are placed in.

Examples below:

1- In the Marvel USA/UK G-1/G-2 Comics Fort max & Scorponok were tiny & about the size of PMOP & Shockwave. Trypticon in issue #27 was shown super huge & was clearly leaps & bounds bigger than fort max & scorponok. Metroplex never made a appearance in the USA Marvel comics. I didn't read all of the UK Marvel comics,So I don't know if Metroplex made a appearance in the comics or not.

2- In the Hasbro USA TF G-1 cartoon series Metroplex & Trypticon never made a appearance in season 4,so nobody knows how they would have sized up compared to fort max & scorponok.

3- As far as the 1986 & 1987 TF USE/UK/Japanese toy lines went. Metroplex was the smallest of the 4 city-formers. Fort max was the biggest of the city formers. Scorponok was 18 inches tall in bot mode & probably the 2nd biggest. Trypticon comes close to scorponoko's toy size.

4- The 1987 Takara Japanese Headmasters cartoon series, does show fort max & Scorponoko being leaps & bounds bigger than Trypticon & Metroplex.

5- The 1988 Takara TF Masterforce cartoon series shows grandmax & black zarak way smaller than their 1987 heamasters cartoon appearances. grandmax & black-zarak are a similar size scale to God-ginrai,overlord & God neptune.

6- the 1990 TF zone pilot cartoon episode shows a zombie retooled Trypticon in animation form that is a similar size scale to overlord & other dead zombie transformers.

7- Takara 1997 Beastwars II cartoon series showed Gigatron leaps & bounds bigger than everyone else in the cartoon/toy linel.

8- The DW/IDW TF comics shows Metroplex as being leaps & bounds bigger than Fortmax. haven't read all the comics,So i'm un-sure if Trypticon or Scorponok made appearances in the G-1 titled comics.

9- Various different TF toys/cartoons/comics shows Omega supreme in different size scales. in the G-1 USA cartoon omega supreme was the size of a 5-in-1/6-in-1 gestalt combiner. In the marvel comics omega supreme was bigger than a gestalt combiner. in Energon & TFA cartoon/toy line omega supreme was city former size.

Yeah, Fort Max is only bigger than Metroplex if you go by the toys.

I just don't see Fort Max having the same cultural impact as Metro to justify a new mold, so I can see your thought on repainting Metroplex happen but not a new tool. Fort Max is only a big deal to a very small subset of G1 fans at this point, and the item is scarce, hence high aftermarket costs.

I wonder how many folks would get pissed about a $20 Fort Max. :D I love that idea though, just as an experiment in how to piss off 50% of fans to make the others happy.

I'd love a $20 Fort Max. IDW's interpretation is great, and even gives his name a purpose. (It makes sense that a guy named 'Fortress Maximus' would be in charge of a giant prison planet.)

Now that I think about it, what does IDW Fort Max even turn into? Some sort of nondescript tank/truck thing?

Whatever it is, I do agree that a Voyager-sized Fort Max could actually be pretty sweet, especially since, as already pointed out, Fort Max has a tendency to be portrayed as a fairly normal-sized guy anyway.

Probably. He has treads! Maybe he turns into a weird spaceship thing, like Headmasters Fort Max.

That's right, they never did show his alt mode, did they? Still, looks like we're all in agreement that we'd like a $20 version of him.

I think IDW Fortress Maximus has only been shown to have transformed once, and it was only just barely shown on the panel at that... Can't remember exactly where I saw that though. I think it was in a more recent issue. And yeah, I think it'd be kinda cool to see a $20 toy version of IDW For Max as well.
