Star Drive vs. Nemesis: name of the G1 'con ship

The originals... ok, not exactly, but the original named "The TransFormers" anyway. Take THAT, Diaclone!
Generation 1, Generation 2 - Removable fists? Check. Unlicensed vehicle modes? Check. Kickass tape deck robot with transforming cassette minions? DOUBLE CHECK!!!

Only because you keep not taking it and also not realizing how bumfuck awesome it is.

That thing where everyone thinks Ravage is a dog? They use that.

You could just download them! I mean, IDW seems to be floating along pretty well. And hell, I was downloading the individual issues before the trades came out, because I am filthy but also my comic store wasn't carrying the issues.

THE FULL!!!

If this were Invader Zim, I would totally believe it. The Irken flagship was called The Massive, afterall. And ran on snacks. ;)
I've never heard the name Victory for the 'con space cruiser until now. And word that Sorenson likes to make up stuff and pass it off as fact. . . ugh, I thought the whole purpose of the Ark was to clear up all the confusion, not add to it. If there were no name, just say so. Don't make up something!
And Red Dwarf is awesome. I love that they slapped that name on there. I think the guys at Mainframe have a better sense of humor about the whole thing than the fandom does :D

Mainframe goes too far sometimes. Like when Transmetal 2 Cheetor makes Megatron spin around on his tail-arm like a top.

To be fair, most counts of Sorensen making stuff up is for the Allspark Almanac books.

When Gomess first called it the Full, my first thought was of the Tallest  Glad I'm not the only one.

Of course they do, it was *their joke*! =p

I dunno. I think just writing "Red Dwarf" on a spaceship is about as perfunctory and meaningless as a reference can get. =/ Now, having Norman Lovett voice the ship's computer....

Personally,The ark & nemesis ship names exist in the TF G-1 cartoon. regardless if they got mentioned in the 1984-1987 TF G-1 cartoon.

Because Most of us know that the editor/writter named "Bob Budiansky" was asked to write the story treatment, name the characters & flesh out their persona's/agenda's/plots in the 1980'S TF G-1 cartoon & comic.

Bob budiansky wrote both the ark & nemesis in the over-all cartoon/comic story treatment that he submitted to Hasbro.

Hasbro chose not to mention the ark & nemesis ship names in the 1980's TF G-1 cartoon. but bob budiansky did provide the names for hasbro to use in the cartoon.

Anyways in the Beastwars cartoon series the beastwars characters clearly mention both the ark & nemesis as being the ships used by the 1984-1987 Transformers in the G-1 cartoon. while a being a bit late mentioning the ships names,it's better than nothing & can't be thrown into the "not exist/non-canon thrash bin. these Beastwars ship mention names further establishes the ark & nemesis as existing the the cartoon TF universe.

Sometimes "one" has to look OUTSIDE the box & put together the bit & pieces to form the puzzle.

Seriously, AHM also has some great Mirage/Ironhide moments. Though a friend of mine punched a (meaningful) hole in Sunstreaker's characterization. If you go buy his original profile, he should not have felt any guilt at all. Of course, it is possible that IDW Sunstreaker is only intended to be (not unreasonably) bigoted, rather than a full-on sociopath.
It doesn't specifically say that on his tech spec.. Inference, or a different source?
The Marvel sourcebook. Let me guess, that was never reprinted in the UK?

The thing is that there is no way that most people would even know to look for that informtion, hence the confusion.
