The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!
Hehe, that was Goji that said, "Lose the damn tophat!!!" I just left his quote in there. Although, I have to admit that I sided with him. We thought that maybe robo-coattails would suit him better. . . and look less retarded. I do agree that the stretch Hummer is way obnoxious, especially considering that Tux was never a stretch limo (despite Turbo constantly calling him Stretch in the show). I think he needs something super classy and ungodly expensive, but not necessarily a limo to represent him. Any ideas?
*EDIT*
You said Aston Martin (nice little JB reference), so I checked out their website, and I think I found something pretty classy and badass for Tux.
Very nice. Though, I dunno, I like the idea of a more antique alt. mode. I do not remember this fella at all from the cartoon, so I don't recall what his personality was like. But I love the idea of a snobby elitist villain almost as much as I love the idea of the evil James Bond.
But he would look swanky in that alt. mode, that's for sure.
Can Go-Bots trade bodies easily? A guy like Tux, maybe he could. There's his cover, the antique car/robot is known as a snobby elitist, who scoffs at the Protectors as being "Oh, so common", and funds Renegade activities as a kind of war profiteer. Huh, evil robot Daddy Warbucks. But then, he has his brain switched over to the Aston Martin body, in which he lives a life of dangerous adventure as sort of evil robot James Bond.
This likely is nothing at all like the cartoon, was it? Anyway, based on what I'm making up off the top of my head, and off of the fact that he has a top hat, Tux is totally my favorite Go-Bot now.

There's another 3-wheeler named Mr. Moto, but I'm saving this new alt-mode for Tri-Trak since he has the "TRI" in his name. I imagine I'll just slap Mr. Moto with a modern ATV with 4 wheels. Anyway, back to TT. You'll recognize this from RotF. It's a 3 wheeled bike the NEST guys use, but never transformed. It's the BRP Can-Am Spyder Roadster.
It doesn't look as though it's made for off-roading like Tri-Traks' original alt-mode, but again- that's what we have Mr. Moto for. He can have 4 wheels and be an offroad ATV. Tri-Trak will have 3 wheels and be built for on-road use. Yeah. I think I'm liking that idea. Anyway, there it is. What do you think?
I think Hasbro could get away with releasing new versions of Gobots, but they would probably do it under the TF line as they wouldn't want to have two properties competing with each other. I also don't think it was any sort of slight against Gobots to show Megatron killing Cy-Kill. That only happened in Origins. The only other TF appearances for Gobots that I can remember they've always been shown in the background as random citizens of Cybertron. I like the integration of GB in to TF media, it sets a precedent for including them in the franchise which could ultimately lead to new GB toys.
