i saw a few of them in the store.
they are pretty small for the price they are.
10 dollars is not worth the buy.

I have Lugnut, he's more or less exactly the same height as Bumblebee, but his folded-up wings make him a little higher. He's a bit top-heavy, moreso if he's holding his huge power mace and doesn't use it to lean on.

The power mace would have been a lot cooler if he would have been able to hold it in other ways than the flat side to the front. And it would also have been cooler if they decreases the mace size to give Lugnut himself some more size.

They should have just leadered him.

Also, the cockpit windows tend to flip to the sides when in vehicle mode sometimes, not really staying together that good.

Positive things. His purple is nice. He's looks a lot like Lugnut. (the other color could be better)
He's got some nice articulations.

Obligatory smiley. :o
I'm tired. s.

Which? The Animated line is full of very clever engineering tricks, and the majority of the small vehicle modes turn into very large robots. Lockdown, for example, is the tallest Deluxe we've ever had, despite his vehicle mode looking average in size.
And that Lugnut has stability problems. And that either of their transformations are less than fun (but simple).
Lugnut's articulation's a bit ehhn. Without wrists, waist, or neck, he's a tad hard to pose niftily with his mace. The mace is admittedly very cool, tho'. Vehicle mode's a touch long, the bombs are incredibly cute, and the three swivelly gun turrets plus the segmented window give him a snazzy WW2 gunship vibe. He's surprisingly stanble when locked into place correctly, just has a few swivels where he could use ratchets.
Also, the cockpit windows tend to flip to the sides when in vehicle mode sometimes, not really staying together that good.
I've found you just have to apply pressure in the right places to get them to lock.

More specifically, the teal-ish hinges that the cockpit sections swing on. Those seem to be the parts that do the actual locking down of the cockpit halves in jet mode.

But yeah, I would definitely recommend getting Lugnut if you see him. He's tons of fun to play with, has a cool weapon gimmick, and also represents his cartoon counterpart very well(if that sort of thing is important for you in a TF.) The main thing that I think could have been better about him is the arm articulation. An additional swivel around the elbow would have given him the ability to pull off more action-y style poses, but as is, he can still get some good ones in there.

While I disagree with what you say here, I do have to say you've got a thoroughly kickass sig, there, Doctor.

And yeah, what o86 said. A lot of the Animated Deluxes pull off some crazy size-changing. And a few are just pure awesome coated in magic. Figures like, say, Prowl, or Oil Slick.

The fact that they got Prowl's transformation to work as *perfectly* as they did is nothing short of a miracle. His robot mode ends up almost kibble-free, it's amazing!

And Lockdown's size-changing, holy toledo. As I recently discovered, he can almost stand eye-to-eye with Leader Megatron! :o

Really, the transformations and engineering on the Animated toys are some of my favorite things about them, as a line.

My biggest worry with them is that Blitzwing is the bigger of the two (I haven't checked). Oh, and that he turns into a jet with tank tracks. And that Lugnut has stability problems. And that either of their transformations are less than fun (but simple).
I WANT HIM.
