Re: May Hauls
I found a nice haul at Target, though. Not an unusual one, but it's nice.
TFA Sunstorm and ActiRatchet: Well, what it is, I don't have the Seeker mold yet, and since there wasn't an Acid Storm and hasn't been a Ramjet, this is gonna be the colorscheme I like the most for 'em. And Ratchet, well, pretty much my favorite character in Animated currently, so I'm okay with having two of him.
Also, Comics!
Final Crisis Aftermath: Dance #1 I'd have probably bought all of these aftermath things as one-shots, but the limited series thing about 'em irritates me. Anyway, I got this because I really dug Super Young Team, and ChrisCross is one of my favorite artists from the 90's. Dude's work on Milestone's "Blood Syndicate" was frigging amazing, and I want to encourage DC to send more work his way. The book's okay, but I kinda think for these guys they need someone crazier to write it, the story, as of the first issue, isn't too terribly entertaining. Looks pretty, though. I'll stick around for a couple issues, though, if just on the strength of the character's codenames. "Most Excellent Superbat" "Shy Crazy Lolita Canary", and "Happy Shiny Aquazon"? That's good stuff. I am worried that this is some sort of gateway drug to manga comics, though...
The Punisher #5: Well, I laughed out loud repeatedly during this book, especially when the Punisher beats Mr. Hyde by playing black metal at him. Also, anyone ever says anything about Ant-Man having lame powers to me, I'm showing 'em this issue. It was at the end of it's trial run with me, and it totally won on this issue.
Agents of Atlas #5 Haven't read this one yet, but so far it's been good, if not outrighteous. The team consist of a sentient gorilla, an underwater super-girl, a cool old-styled killer robot, a guy from Uranus with a similarly retro-styled space helmet and flying saucer, a "goddess of love', and a kung-fu wielding former SHIELD agent. Obviously, I'm okay with the concept, anyhow.

Re: May Hauls
Wow, I either win or fail with this "hauls" double-post. But in this case, it's a nice birthday haul thing.
Wreck-Gar!: I hear tell that the only thing he's good for is garbage, but he looks awfully cool. I haven't checked him out as yet, but like I say, he looks fantastic.

Re: May Hauls
ROTF's launch date in NZ was, funnily enough, Today. And they just haaappened to have 20% off all toys at one chain, who annoyingly didn't have ROTF figures out. But Kmart pricematched, so a winner was me.
- ROTF Super Prime
- ROTF Starscream
Just started a review thread in the Movie forum, so will post thoughts there.

Re: May Hauls
My TFCC Heatwave arrived today. This is my first version of this mold since I never got the Energon version, so I'll have to review it later on.

Re: May Hauls
Well, so much for my decision to not buy a bunch of movie toys. But look, if there's gonna be basics (!) again, what am I supposed to do? Last new basic we had was Shortround, for cryin' out loud.
So, having spotted most of the first Scout wave, I had to have Ransack, because everything about him appealed to me. The rest look reaaallly nice, though.

Sort of, I guess. Okay, somehow I forgot all those guys.Onslaught Six wrote:What? No, dude, the Real Gears were Basics.
What I meant was, we haven't had a new basic since monkey controller guy, and that's still been awhile.

Re: May Hauls
I got Fallen. Hoped he wouldn't be iffy after Starscream and Prime disappointment, and fortunately, he kicks ass. Like Giger does Transformers. I dubbed him Robot Satan and giggled for a while.
