Are the repaints lacking?

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

The profile in the club comic is inconsistent on this point. In one paragraph, Soundwave is very protective of the bird. In another, the bird is just a drone.

Bah, inconsistent and sloppy writing is what it is.

Is there something in the writing that implies he can't be protective of a drone...?

It just struck me as odd, that a guy as merciless as one would assume a survivor of a dead planet to be would also be protective of a mere drone.

Watch moar anime.

Vengeful loner badass who protects an innocent child for no apparent reason is a HUGE cliche.

But, is the drone even a child in this analogy. This might be more accurately described as, "Loner bas@$$ who zealously protects his PDA."

And that, my friend, is what makes him a truly unique character.

Yeah, I got nothin'.

Heh, somehow I love that analogy. Just imagine him in a business suit, wankily flapping his hand at people while he presses his eject button and talks to his chest.

Yeah, but he also had Sideway's back because that's just how he rolls, yo.

God I love Cybertron Soundwave's speech pattern.

it worked suprisingly well. When I saw it mentioned in the Club comics, it came across as well, utterly retarded. And, the general quality of the show did not fill me with confidence that it would be good otherwise.

But, it was a strong point in the rough draft that was the Unicron Trilogy.

So we're getting G1-themed repaints of EnerSuperion and likely EnerBruty.

...

Hasbro has officially run out of ideas.
