Eh. His transformation is fun and, after a lot of fiddling, I decided that I really do like him.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

I keep going back and forth. The last time I transformed him, his arm and entire lower half popped right off. Better than breaking, sure, but still...

I think this picture says it all:

Target had him on clearance for 'bout five bucks, so I pounced. Also snapped up Activators Starscream. He's decently cool. I think I'll like him better once I've got a Thundercracker for him to hang with.

2 x 2GB USB flash drives 'cause they were super cheap. The shop-peons suggested I get more as stocking stuffers. I am currently unsure whether flash drives in stockings would be awesome or not.

Also, Armada Powerlinx Jetfire. Hooray! When I..eventually get home..my repaint-flavour Magna Jet Convoy will finally be completed. S'nifty. Always did say I'd get PLX Prime and PLX Jetfire. Ended up getting Magnus before Jetfire, hey. It's a bit of a blast from the past getting Armada figures now. TFCC Astrotrain is definitely the coolest use of this mould, tho'.

I've had a busy day. I picked up a few things, though.

Animated Swoop: He's really cool. Very small, but I like this figure a lot.

Weird War Tales #1-4: I love that my comics store sells discounted collections like this. These Vertigo anthology books are great. True, you get a few duds in every run, but you also get short stories by the likes of Morrison and Quitely, or Milligan and Fregredo. Five bucks, FTW.

Electric Six: Flashy: The sticker on the CD proclaims "2008 Album. 13 Tracks. Very exciting". True on all counts. Also, the cover features a fire-breathing kitty with wings, jet engines, and an octopus-tentacle for a tail. I'm seriously considering it as a tattoo.

- Dr. Grordbort's Contrapulatronic Dingus Directory. For those who recall Weta's nifty steampunk rayguns in the velvet cases, this is a catalogue thereof published in hardback by Dark Horse. Go Weta, decidedly decent piece of work, this. Full of the most gloriously purple and robust language, with lines like "With almost patented and not very stolen gizmotrons and whatchamacallits at your fingertips, you'll finally prove to Father that you prefer women."

Good haul. I traded my Jetfires to get rid of redundant molds, but I do kind of miss them.

Oh, and I got a 25A BAT.

Picked up Universe Ironhide last night, and I agree with everything bad that been said about his alt mode. He isn't terrible in robot mode, but I have seen better.
