I dunno. He has a movie-ish look, yeah, but I'd say he looks more like Powerglide than Universe Powerglide does.

And that would be why he's currently my PG stand in. That and he doesn't look out of place next to CHUG figures. At least I don't think so.

I just cannot reconcile it visually, especially with a retro-G1 character. Maybe if this was a Cybertron form character, I could do it. But, not in this case.

So I got a few new Legends:
Warpath: Sort of don't need it now that I've got the deluxe version, but this figure's still an appealing little toy. He's pretty much exactly what you'd want or expect from an updated Warpath. Nothing hugely special, but I like it.
Cosmos: Yeah, this dude's pretty great. I like how basically a big circle turns into a fairly decent robot. I wouldn't have minded some arm articulation, but being as it's an updated mini-bot, I figure I can live without it. One of his arms seems to like popping off, and the vehicle mode has a little trouble pegging together, but I like the concept of the thing enough to overlook a couple flaws in the execution. Fuck yeah, Cosmos!
Wheelie: You guys, I have three friggin' versions of this mold now. Cripes. Anyway, this is actually kind of my favorite of this three-pack, even if it's the one of these I already had. He's just got this great color on him, a kind of cream-orange color that just looks great. And, of course, really solid mold with a cool transformation.
Brawn: Missed this one in the stores because I is dumb. S'wierd, because Brawn's a mini-bot I always dug, so I dunno. Anyway, Brawn here's a cool mold, clever if simple transformation, and a decent update of the original, but I think they kind of missed a bet with the colors. Seems like he could have done with a more olive green instead of the bright green he got, and the darker face with lighter helmet just doesn't make sense to me at all. Still, minor gripes. Overall, I dig it.

I just commented briefly on Windcharger in Dom's thread about the figure. Around 3 days after the friend found and shipped my Windcharger, of course he finds Grappel (do they really need to fear lawsuits from properly spelling it, or do they really not know it doesn't rhyme with rappel?) and it took months to finally meet up and exchange that figure. I didn't really love the mold this is based on, Inferno, but Grapple here seems like a better use of the mold, and the new parts like the forearms and of course the crane make it a more satisfying experience.

I really wish Grapple'd kept the seperate fists; then I could remove one and replace it with a spare missile from my G1 Grapple reissue. (Might still do that to Inferno.)

You guys remember that when O6 and myself didn't know about Classics Rodimus having the wheels that pull out in the legs? Yeah, I just had another moment like that.
So I got my new Classics Prime, right? And I'm just fiddling with it, transforming it back and forth and saying "Yeah, that's pretty great" when I notice that inside the smokestack gun there seems to be some extra things in there. So I mess with 'em a bit and this whole extra bit of the smokestack gun comes out underneath the smokestack parts and making it look more like a gun. No idea how I missed it before, but it's kind of neat to find a hidden feature on a toy five years later.

Yeah, the rifle stock part. Can he even hold the rifle with those parts down?
Also, you're putting his kneepads up, right? Please tell me you are.

Nah, I think he means the bits that come out of the bottom of the front of the gun, and end up looking like a clip of bullets or whatever.

I will forever not understand the people that don't do this.

I think that Scourge is talking about the underside of the gun. It is an easy step to miss. The pieces are often mis-assebled, making them even harder to see.
Dom
-still has an extra knockoff of that mould.
