I saw that on the shelf at Best Buy last week, but I'd forgotten about it. I need to buy that, I've never seen them.
They're in Japanese with English subtitles. The theme song alone is SO worth it. And it's great to finally see stories with some of the later G1 cast. Although in the first few episodes a lot of the 84 cast was there and then... nothing.

Theoretically, you could just prop the other three up and *pretend* Sue was standing right there. Hell, you don't even need Johnny in the display right now anyway. Just get Reed and Ben, and you can assemble a complete F4 display!

Hell, if they just wanted to do the Powers as some sort of TRU-exclusive multi-pack with a Snark thrown in, you know I'd be down for that.

Invisible Woman is included with every other FF figure, man. She's just, you know, invisible. (Plus, I think they just put out a threepack of Richards, Ben and her.)

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

They actually did an "invisible" Invisible Woman Heroclix that was just a base. Seriously.

TORANUSUFORAMAH!! Yeah, it's awesome. What's the series that came after that?

Also, HAUL! Trade from TFW yeilded Railracer. He's missing Rapid Run's missile but that's really not much of a loss. And these are the Japanese versions and I like the colors better on them.

You've got a point on the current FF thing, except that they'd be in the wrong costumes. Hm. Wonder if they'll get around to FF figures in the white suits? Or a white-suited Spidey? I know it's nitpicky as hell, too, but it isn't the Future Foundation proper without the secondary dudes like Alex, Dragon Man, Artie and Leech, and Frank and Val, either. But still.
Hell, if they just wanted to do the Powers as some sort of TRU-exclusive multi-pack with a Snark thrown in, you know I'd be down for that.
Well yeah, you know I'd be in for that, too. And while they're at it, have the box shaped like Friday so it can double as a kickass accessory.

Yeah, I think I've seen that one. Don't know if it's out yet or not, but I mean to pick it up if I see it. At which point I'll have to track down a Johnny figure.

Oh, that's cute.

You know what? Even if I don't get a complete MU FF set, I'm good because I did manage to get the Superhero Squad versions. They all came with an FF villain, too, so I've got Doom, Super-Skrull, Kang, and Galactus. Good enough for now.

So Prowl: What extra characters should show up in a highly theoretical Power Pack Superhero Squad set? Snark, Whitey, Frank, and...Friday? Maraud? Maybe Boogeyman? I dunno.

Masterforce. And after that was Victory.
Personally, as much as I liked those 2 series for what they were, I always found them a little hard to reconcile into the rest of the TF continuity. Some of the designs and concepts were just so.. different.

Haul: Cyberverse Optimus Prime (at last; I've been wanting this small truck with trailer combo)

I know for a fact that an FF Spider-man (based on an entirely new mold that includes ankle rocker joints) is in the pipeline.

Well, I don't think they'd go past a 6-pack, especially for a low-interest team like this one, but if they threw Frank and a Snark or Whitey in there, that would be good. I'm honestly kinda shocked that there's never been a Marvel Legends or Marvel Universe-scale Franklin Richards. Honestly, I'd probably even grab a 'casual clothes' version of that kid.
Shockwave wrote:TORANUSUFORAMAH!! Yeah, it's awesome. What's the series that came after that?
Masterforce. If Shout releases a DVD of that one over here, I will allow myself to bear their genetically engineered superchildren.

Anyway, I was at Target and saw that they had the regular, non-mega-armored-whatever versions of some of the Samurai Power Rangers on the pegs, and after months of just shaking my head at what seemed like an epically bad business decision on Bandai's part, I decided that the least I could do was reward good behavior, so I snagged the character I know only slightly better as ShinkenRed. I figure I'll get around to watching Shinkenger one of these days, and I'll probably want some toys based on it, so I can head some of that off at the pass this way. At least the mold on this Ranger is slimmed down compared to the more hulked-out guys from the MMPR2010 line. He compensates for that though with his ridiculously hilariously huge gun/sword thing, and his regular hilariously huge cell phone/morpher, which is just silly enough to already be my favorite accessory. You also gotta love a toy of a Samurai character who can barely hold his sword with both hands. Okay, so maybe this isn't rewarding 'good behavior' so much as 'slightly less bad behavior'. ShinkenGold looks cool though, might grab him if I see him. Also, if the 'instructions' included with this thing are to be believed, they snuck a Rita Repulsa into this line. Well holy shit, I have to track that thing down!

I've been buying a lot of one-off toys from lines don't really collect lately (Plague Doctor, Scarlet Spider, Caboose, and now ShinkenRed). I can only blame the lack of new TF toys I want. Really hoping Darksteel's wave hits soon. Though I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little tempted by Ultimate Optimus Prime. :?

Masterforce, probably the best Japanese TF series. Well, I'm told Victory is up there, but I've seen less of it than Masterforce.

And the other three are getting a running change:

They are. They're actually going to release just a box set of Headmasters, Masterforce and Victory but it's like a hundred bucks and I don't think it has any cool extras like the full US series boxset did. So I'll just buy them individually for $20.
Also, if the 'instructions' included with this thing are to be believed, they snuck a Rita Repulsa into this line. Well holy shit, I have to track that thing down!
Word on /toy/ is that it's fruitlessly expensive and hard to find. Like you'd expect.

I really, really hate how the MMPR fandom handles this shit, though. Did you know they didn't even know we were getting a new Megazord for the MMPR relaunch line until 'it was on store shelves?' Get on the ball, you fuckers.

This right here; this is why I've been slowly catching up on my GI Joes instead of bothering with new TF. Because there 'is' no new TF. (Then again, I could just try to catch up on RTS and Generations.)

There ya go.

Also e-haul: Downloaded MegaMan 10 on the 360. I love how 10 titles into the series the game play is exactly the same. I would have thought some changes to graphics, sound, movement, etc.. but no, it's just as epically 8 bit as ever. And that's awesome.
