Ultimate Prime toy revealed; spoilers, it sucks.

Money, violence, sex, computer graphics, scatalogical humor, racism, robots designed to be rednecks but given European accents, and maybe another sequel to the saga... what's not to love? TF m1, Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon and now Age of Extinction.

Yeah, I sort of saw the trailer. Just couldn't tell what the hell was happening in it, was all.

Given he's flying into a huge battle in that scene, I'd have to guess that's towards the end of the film. For all we know he could use his trailer/wings a great deal in the movie with it finally getting destroyed at the end.

Oh I saw that bit, I just naturally assumed it was Jetfire's corpse-suit in that scene. I'ma have to rewatch it now.

I would assume he wouldn't continue to use the corpsesuit, given that parts of it were obviously damaged and all at the end of ROTF.

Unfortunately, I know how Bay structures his films so I much doubt it. Everybody in the film gets *one* setpiece. Everything cool in the movies shows up 'exactly once.' (Even more unfortunately, you can see this pattern in other blockbuster movies. The alien in Independence Day only gets one cool scene.)

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

Vids of Ultimate "Butterfly" Prime are finally available.

Frankly, I'd have preferred if they revisited the Powermaster Prime design, and use the truck cab/robot as the torso only, rather than encasing the arms and legs in the trailer suit. With the materials and design engineering today, we ought to be able to see some nifty articulation and gimmicks updated into old Powermaster design scheme.

Would also have been interesting to see how HA Commanders and mech tech could have been incorporated into the trailer base mode.

Ah well. One can only dream...

I can't wait. And keep in mind the price when you are.

It is $80, and I thought it didn't display well at Botcon, except in truck mode. The wings look silly, and the limbs don't fit the tiny torso and head, and there's not enough going on. But I didn't get to take it out and change the pose or anything, so you'll have to let us know.
