Anybody give a crap about the movie line right now?

Money, violence, sex, computer graphics, scatalogical humor, racism, robots designed to be rednecks but given European accents, and maybe another sequel to the saga... what's not to love? TF m1, Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon and now Age of Extinction.

Er, yeah, man, I think that's being a little...picky.

I can see where Crab is coming from actually. In some cases, a little detail can make or break a figure.

Yeah, but I don't think this is one of them and besides, reprolabels probably has a set with that decal if he really wants it on there.

Eh, I don't blame Mako for passing on the HA Barricade. Sure, there's probably a reprolabel, but if you're not completely sold on a relatively expensive toy in the first place, then spending more money to fix it probably doesn't appeal.

Of course, I could care less about the HA line anyway. The only one I'd almost be into is Sideswipe, and I understand that one kind of sucks.

I got Barricade because he's the Best Barricade Toy Ever. I wish they'd make a new one. Hell, I wish he was in TF3 but I don't think that's going to happen.

BTW, saw a commercial for WWE on Siffy the other day, Paul Bearer was back, and yeah, he has put on some weight.

The movie line is... screwed. Looking at pegs around here, Ravage has pegwarmed YET AGAIN and is taking down Ironhide dlx with him. Scouts are backing up because they're mostly repaints. Voyagers are shelfwarming with repaints as well, Long Haul and Banzaitron especially, but also the rather underwhelming Seaspray. And all this is holding back new molds in Dlx and Voyager classes. So IMO, Hasbro is the one burning this line trying to stretch it with repaints nobody wants.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

I like Seaspray! But not enough to buy 100 of him. I have 1, that's enough for me.

The movie is kind of old hat now. At this point 2 years ago, (after the first movie), movie toys were not being made. And, even then, people were finding them stale. Now, Hasbro is still releasing movie toys in greater number than the figures people seem to want. To make matters. worse, they miscalculated and are under-producing the most popular line. (This is much less forgivable when one considers that "Generations" has video game tie-in figures in every wave. In. Every. Wave.)

The fewer toys that sell, the fewer new toys ship. The fewer new toys ship, the lower sales go. Lower sales mean less retailer interest. Less retailer interest means fewer toys ordered. Fewer toys ordered means more collectors buy online and more casual buyers just give up. Collectors buying online and caasual buyers giving up means....fewer sales. (Lather, rinse, repeat.)

Days, judging by its current performance at market.
That sort of optimism is unlike you JT....

A friend of mine talked to a Hasbro rep at BotCon, and the rep said that *Habro* was not exactly proud of the movie.

My thing about Barricade is that I already have a Barricade toy. It's pretty awesome. Then along comes a new version- exact same toy except this time he had the 911 decal on the side. But I wasn't about to drop another $10 on the exact same toy over one decal. So when I see HA Barricade, and it looks, more or less, like the exact same toy- just bigger- AND it's missing the 911 decal again, AND it's $40, I feel less motivated to buy it. I should have mentioned that I've never bothered transforming my Barricade. I don't like his robot mode, but I love his vehicle mode. :D So any added details or articulation to his robot mode don't interest me in the least.

Ah, well. See, I prefer Barricade's robot mode to anything else. That original toy was sucktastic in that regard.
