I'd love it if it didn't turn out to be Ratchet. While I think Ratchet is the iconic, go-to "medic guy," I remember the earlier pitches of Animated featuring Hot Shot and Red Alert, from Armada, instead of Bumblebee and Ratchet. They got changed because the movie focused on G1 guys instead of recent ones--something that didn't happen as much to the GI Joe movie, kind of. (I can go into this, if you want.)
Anyway, if they made it a new guy named Red Alert or First Aid or something, I'd be all for it. (Sure, he probably wouldn't resemble the original at all, but who cares?)

Are we sure that ambulance is a transformer, or not just a couple of paramedics they have on set to deal with the inevitable injuries that result from Baysplosions?
Want to do the research to figure it out for yourself? Because I'm too lazy to do so.
Look up the nearest city by where they're filming, and then find pictures of their ambulances.
Alternately, someone in the posts at TFW brought up the idea that it's a "scene specific" vehicle, which conjures images of somebody wounded being transported in a civilian ambulance. Which is...spectacularly stupid, to not make it a TF, because there's actually a lot of cool interest and entertainment (even comedy?) that could be gleamed from a TF ambulance transporting a human.
I mean, picture it--dude gets loaded into an amulance, and he's all, "Augh, my [body part, probably penis] is all focked up from those fawkin' queeah rowbawts!" (I am assuming it's Marky Mark and he's using his Boston accent from The Departed, because every scene is instantly a thousand times funnier when you do that.) And then a voice starts talking to him and he's examined by bad CGI instruments, and he's all "Hey who's that" and then the dude is like "RED ALERT, AT YOUR SERVICE" and he's like "OH FUCK ANOTHER QUEEAH-ASS ROWBAWRT!"
Comedy gold. Why am I not writing this movie? I mean, I think my Power Rangers reboot script was on the money.
