I have to put in a good word for Armada Smokescreen as well. There's a review somewhere in among the many threads on this board where I gush enthusiastically about the figure. It feels solid in both modes, I love the little hatch and the huge gun emplacement mode, and the little forklift Minicon is a fun partner. I'm also strangely fond of Armada Hot Shot, a figure I'm not sure many other people like.
I also like quite a few of the Beast Machines basic Maximals. Quickstrike, Night Viper and Longhorn are all neat little figures and far more fun than I thought when they were on store shelves. I only came to appreciate them later on when I used them in photocomics and had plenty of time to pose and transform them and found out they were actually a lot of fun.
List some TF toys you like that most Fans don't like.

I liked Tidal Wave, but I can totally see why he'd not be liked by some, the individual vehicle modes ain't that great, and he's a bit soft in his sculpt, it's chunky. That said, generally I think it was well-liked when it came out, although like most toys from that era it was quickly forgotten by later markets/generations.Onslaught Six wrote:Did anybody but me like Tidal Wave? I really liked Night Viper and Longhorn, those 2 are a lot of fun and I still enjoy them when I come across them (although Night Viper always vexes me a little in transformation at first, each time), but I barely remember that Quickstrike figure at all so I have no current opinion.andersonh1 wrote:I also like quite a few of the Beast Machines basic Maximals. See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

Most of the On-line TF fans complaints I've read regrading the Tidalwave toy is as follows:JediTricks wrote: I liked Tidal Wave, but I can totally see why he'd not be liked by some, the individual vehicle modes ain't that great, and he's a bit soft in his sculpt, it's chunky. 1- The hasbro ugly toy colors,This is a easy fix, just buy the Takara toy colors.
2- The toy lacks poseabilty in key areas like the head, knees & other areas. This is another easy fix all you gotta do is take the upper legs from 2005 Cybertron Ultra Jetfire & transfer them over to the Tidalwave toy, doing this will give Tidalwave bending backward knees & 360 degree rotate swivels in his thighs.
3- I see nothing wrong with the Three indivual modes because at least they look like realistic sea vehicles.
4- I see those threads/Replies on various TF forums sites from those groups of TF fans who think all the newer TF toys are superior to the older TF toys. GRANTED I CAN UNDERSTAND IF WERE COMPARING TF TOYS FROM 2012 TO ONES CREATED 20 YEARS AGO. But to compare 2012 TF toys to 2003 & Onwards TF toys makes no sense DUE TO HASBRO MAKING ALL THESE DRASTIC CUT BACKS DUE TO THE ECONOMY LIKE CHEAPER PLASTIC,SMALLER TOYS,LESS GIMMICKS,Less bang for your buck as TF toys now cost 50% more than they did Three years ago,ETC...
