Box day, box day!
Have only opened the one so far, there's another to come.
- Cybertron Beast Planet Optimus Prime. Yeah, the BWX repaint. The toy all those charmingly informed individuals 'must' be referencing when they talk about the 'Optimus Prime that turns into an ape'. Heh. Vastly better colours than the original, I heartily approve. Yay the Ass_lt blade.
- Revoltech Convoy. Oh god, kill me now, but it was cheap, I swear! And it'll look good on the desk! *sobs miserably at the lack of principles*
As long as Pat Lee got no royalties. Or was promised them and didn't get any.
EDIT: Hoo boy, am I glad this was cheap. He's tiny and ehhn and the joints are too tight vs. the swivels, THS-02 is not much smaller and has the same levels of articulation. And transforms. So. At least this saves me buying Megs!

Aaaand the second box?
- Robot Replicas Barricade. Loose and cheap, yeah yeah. Work desk ornament. Neat sculpt, terrible paint apps, okay articulation. Prime's clearly the best of the RRs.
- That one spiffy SW 30th Darth Vader figure with the Kenobi cloak and removable hat and decent articulation. O6 and Anderson, I think, were telling me of its neatness some time ago. Turns out that wave never made it here, so had to import. Struck it lucky, clearanced at an Australian online store. The Kenobi cloak seems a bit large, and his hat doesn't stay on as well as I'd like, otherwise he's a solid piece of work, a good all-purpose Vader. 22 POA, none too shabby, but he would've benefitted from ball-jointed neck and hips. Certainly an improvement over the 5 POA the POTF figure I had as a wee fellow sported!
- The Force Unleashed battle-damaged Vader. Keen! Lots of removable armour bits, cloth cape has holes, gives an interesting cross-section into how Vader works under the armour. Same articulation as the other one, too. With the exception of the arm armour, all the removable parts stay on well. The sculpt is good, aside from his eye cover being too high for his actual eye, and the robot foot being as big as his booted foot. I v ery rarely buy SW stuff, SWTFs aside, but I needed some Vaderage at work. Really did.
- The return of my hard drives. Remember when my PC died? Yeah. Died horribly. Had the hard drive repaired, after the spinner came off, and got everything transferred to a new drive. Took ages, but hey. Can finally rebuild the PC now, badass.

*sigh* I'll have to give him a review right quick here. To present my side of the story...
Yes. You are. He sucks.
Of course, any toys with a hinged butt-flap.....I have to consider it.
And, JT, Ensure? A friend of mine tried that years ago. It nearly killed him.
On my end:
SCT Act 10 PVC figures, aka Armada act 2.
RH Rattrap.

Still need to open OcTankor, but the girlfriend's still at the house, so hell if I'm playing with 'toys' while she's there.
This is not a condemnation of playing with toys as a social stigmata, but rather the fact that THERE IS A GIRL IN MY BEDROOM.
Anyway. Yesterday, I picked up the new Nine Inch Nails album, The Slip. Yeah, it was released as a free download a couple months ago, but the physical release is really cool, and it had 'stickers!' It also has a DVD with awesome live rehearsal footage of half the album's songs. Awesome. I put one of the stickers on top of the Laptop to replace the ugly Compaq logo.

Just call it "fiddling", and it is okay.

It's not the fact that I'd be embarrassed to fiddle or play with toys. It's the fact that I would rather fiddle or play with my girlfriend.

Heh, there've been several times where I've sat in bed with the laptop. "Not now, I'm talking about toys with my friends from the Northern Hemisphere."
EDIT: Hey, 86 posts!
