Voting actually had closed. But, they left the voting pages up for some reason. (I tried voting, but the page did not flash the "thank you for voting" screen" afterwards.)

It flashed that screen for me.

Weird.

Ok, so results are in and it's Waspinator. Wow. BW characters win two years running. And apparently Aaron Archer had something to say about the Erector thing. He said that he appreciates the joke and the laughs it generated but that it's to be taken seriously. Tier C-E characters not tier Z. So apparently Hasbro is aware of the problems with the voting. I wonder if this will yield changes to the system next year.

Most likely, Hasbro will ignore obvious wankery by the fans. Hopefully, this will keep any more BW era characters from getting in as well.

Yeah I'm not. I still think most of the BW cast has rights to it before any in the movie. Seriously, that would be like saying Jolt should get it and you'll notice no one is saying that. You just don't want the BW characters in because you've had some negative run ins with a few obnoxious BW fans. Let it go. They're just a small part of the fanbase. Besides, you used to like BW yourself for your own reasons remember?

I'm not going to vote because I'm a fascist.

Also I think the Hall of Fame is a silly idea.

Waspinator was my 4th Choice. That said, I was grinning from ear to ear when I found out he'd won.

At least people voted for Waspinator because they genuinely LIKE the character, not because of some sophomorish joke we all should have tired of years ago.

And sorry, but I'm of the crowd that genuinely believes Beast Wars saved Transformers. Not to say it wouldn't have shown up again eventually, but it definitely kept the franchise going during the formative years of the internet, and helped establish the fandom as a whole (for better or worse, I guess). So, recognition where it's due. That said, I DO like Shockwave, Jazz and Grimlock better, but them's the breaks. They'll be the shoo-ins next year anyway.
I disappear.
