Okay...I can see where Anderson is coming from. Blasing music super loud on a school night in a residential neighborhood is kind of heelish. The decision to call the cops or just pop in and ask nicely really comes down to what kind of relationship one has with the neighbors.

That fact that I was neither the first nor the only one in the neighborhood to call the police ought to tell you something about our relationship with these particular neighbors. There are some wonderful people in my neighborhood, and then there are some jerks who think they're entitled to do whatever they want, whenever they want. It's probably much the same anywhere you go.

Good point. Fortunately I don't have those types of neighbors near my house, they've all been great. Anyone who would be doing that is fortunately far enough away that I probably wouldn't hear it.
