I saw Cannibal Holocaust a few years back, maybe it's just how desensitised I am, but I didn't find it disturbing at all. =/

The movie Doomsday actually made me laugh at the gory parts. Except the cannibal scene, that was pretty messed up.

Aaaaa-nyway, I got the Firefly v.s. Storm Shadow Two-pack today. So any accessories, so much storage! I think I'm in love.

TFA Soundwave - underwhelming indeed, except when he's shredding out on that guitar. Some cute G1 throwback touches but an underwhelming bot.

TFA Jazz - pretty keen, doesn't aim too high and doesn't miss. Small alt mode though.

Hasbro Star Wars Bane Malar - nifty design, but very short. Still unclear if he's the one who gets knocked down or if it's Sgt Doallyn. BAF piece completes my 2nd droid, but paint on this piece is underwhelming.

Hasbro SW Clone Wars Clone Trooper - not bad, but the paint makes this figure what it is. Sculpt is lanky and too tall. Good articulation if perhaps a little more range of motion in elbows and knees.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

I'm not the biggest Devin Townsend fan, but he is certainly a visionary. Now that I think about it, I kinda prefer SYL to DTP...
I love SYL too, their pisstake approach to metal is refreshing, much like Type-O Neg's. Too many pretentious bands out there, really.

Yay, box day:

- Energon Beachcomber: Bad mould, decent colours this time. Guess he'll fit in with Universe Powerglide in the Enormous Minibot department.
- BW2 Dirge
- BW2 Thrust
Woo, Thrust and Dirge, been after them for ages. I less than three MW jets.

Also, raided the CDs at the Warehouse again. Friend's birthday tomorrow, and after picking up V is for Vagina by Puscifer for seven bucks, I figured I may as well go back and get the remaining copies, since another friend wanted a copy too. Whilst there, found a few other things, so:

- Puscifer: V is for Vagina x2
- Ministry: Psalm 69 - The Way To Succeed And The Way To Suck Eggs
- DAATH: The Hinderers

"Jesus Built My Hotrod" has some of the greatest lyrics of any rock song, ever.

After watching it yesternight, I'm inclined to agree with you. Except for the bit with the turtle, that kinda made me go "Oh, come on, that's way enough..." Especially since it was a real turtle and all.

I got Tiger Force Flint today. He's a cool little guy, and my first GI Joe ever was a 12" version of Flint. With Real Hair. That got promptly eaten off by my younger cousin. >_<

It's Animu Day!

Code Geass Season 1 Part 1 Special Edition: Holy crap this box comes with a lot of stuff. The first two DVDs are in there, of course, but then they throw in the first volume of the manga (Not drawn by Clamp, a massive injustice), three mini-guidebooks, a booklet of Clamp's character sketches, the first OST, and an audio drama CD! DAYUM!! And the box itself is pretty spiffy too, not bad. I just can't get enough of this series.

Gurren Lagann Collection 02: This one either. Whee, only one more set to go. Am loving the high episode count of Bandai's DVD sets lately...

Tetragrammaton Labyrinth Vol. 3: This one's a manga, actually, and an impulse buy. But I would've grabbed it eventually, so why not while I was on a roll?

And I've got this weekend off. Good times...

I got...sick. Wicked, crazy sick and slept all damn day, only waking up for soup, waters, and occasional interntettery.

Yet, somehow, I was able to work out some deals for some nifty stuff, so that's kinda cool. Further details on said stuff when it gets here.

Man. I buy way too much crap.

- Premium Bumblebee, because there was a sale, and he has a new headsculpt. I dig this new headsculpt, though NewBee is not a toy I like a lot. Too much kibble, un-fun transformation. The Premium flavour has a few neat paint apps over the original, but I would've vastly preferred StealthBee. StealthBee, naturally, has not been released here.

More CDs. Piles of them. I fail at this 'saving' concept. But damnit, I've an excuse - the pawnshop (somehow I typed pwnshop three times in a row, heh) I frequent for bargain CDs had a sale, and put them all down to 'three bucks' a piece. At three bucks, hell, I'll buy seven.

So yeah, I bought seven:

- VAST: Visual Audio Sensory Theatre. The CD I actually went there to get, I'd eyed it for months and gone "Eh, when there's nothing else around." Then I downloaded a few tracks out of curiosity, and Pretty When You Cry is fantastic. So, glad I nabbed this at long last.

- The X-Files Movie Soundtrack. Had this years back on tape. Ended up with lots of soundtracks to average movies in the 90s, and somehow they had a lasting influence. The Spawn soundtrack is particularly cool. X-Files, meanwhile, has a spiffy cover of One Is The Loneliest Number by Filter, so hey, worth getting on CD.

- Mansun: She Makes My Nose Bleed EP. Mansun are one such soundtrack band, and yes, from the Spawn sountrack. 808 State remixed and extended Mansun's snazzy track Skin Up Pin Up, 'tis worth a listen. This EP was just kinda There and three bucks, so. Plus, bonus poster!

- Soul Asylum: Let Your Dim Light Shine. Another case of 'There, and Three Bucks'. I'd heard some Soul Asylum years back, and seemed to remember them being alright. Butch Vig's production is usually a good sign. And hey, seems alright from what I've heard thus far.

- Intangible: Elevate. I have never heard of Intangible before, and it looked interesting from the album cover. I love buying CDs for that sort of reason, it's really a lost appeal factor, thanks to the usual prices. But when an album looks as good as it sounds, you know it's worth the purchase. Dunno about this yet, seems fairly generic alt. rock. Either way, three bucks!

- Leviathan: Far Beyond The Light EP. See above! Except substitute 'art' with 'gloomy photos' and 'alt. rock' with 'black metal'. Yeah.

- The Blair Witch Project soundtrack. Find of the day, VAST aside. I was scanning the titles, and went "Haha, they made a soundtrack for the Blair Witch Proj-ooooh, Skinny Puppy." Also Type O Neg, Frontline Assembly, Meat Beat Manifesto, and Bauhaus. A winner is me. Not least because this is one of those dorky 'enhanced CDs', so it has movie clips and such. The booklet lists the space required to save the files to disk as "40 megahertz". Seriously. That's gold, that is.
