Not at all--it's just a video of me going around town, and I happened to find Hound. And taped it. Yes.

Transformers Armada Vol. 2- Alright! Armada comics I haven't read yet!
DC The New Frontier Vol. 1- Saw the movie last weekend, cemented my desire to check out the comic. I love Darwyn Cooke so.

Got BOX from 86!

It contained TORCA!

Move HOUND to ENDTABLE to make room for TORCA?

I prefer Elphaorca myself.

Box from Digital Toys arrived:

TFU Vector Prime: Not a bad recolor of a good mold. (Generally darker, "more serious", colors.) There are some signs of mold-rot, with joints being a bit looser than previous uses of the mold. The key is unpainted. And, the mold-rot has taken some of the molded detail out of the internally chromed bits. The translucent plastic has been replaced with dark, solid colored plastic. Either there are no electronics, or my copy did not ship with batteries. (I am betting thr former.) The sigil is painted in silver plastic, as seen on many movie toys.
Grade: B This is probably the last time the mold will be used.

TFU Smokescreen: Straight recolor of Silver-streak. The colors are overly brignt. And, this is probably the weakest looking, and weakest jointed, toy cast from this mold. Worth getting only if you do not have Silverstreak or Prowl, or if you specifically like the character. The well written character profile can only carry it so fare. Grade: C

TFU Starscream: My copy has slightly looser joints than one might hope for, but nothing bad enough to ruin the toy. (I have heard accounts of more severe rot from others.) Worth getting if you do not have previous iterations of the mold, if you feel like risking getting a bad copy. Grade: B

TFU Hound: second copy, for customizing.

GI Joe:
Tripwire: bought it for the MASS Device jar.
Cobra Diver: Bought it mainly for the MASS jar. Not a bad figure though. It may or may not find its way into my conversion pile.

If memory serves, Vector takes AAAs, and doesn''t ship with them. That was one of the arguments JT and I had in favour of him having an abandoned light gimmick.

Yay, Target finally restocked! I was tempted to grab all the Universe stuff I didn't have, but decided to leave Hound and Starscream for later, since I REALLY wanted Cyclonus, and they only had one TFA Swindle left, who was still marked down to $7-ish, so.

Cyclonus is terrific, though the bits the wings are attached to in vehicle mode could stand to look a little less like the shoulders they are. Transformation is cool, I really dig the legs, and the way the arms just pull out instead of using the standard sliding extension trick. Robot mode is a joygasm. He looks perfect, and is really nicely poseable. Nightstick is a nice bonus, and makes for a very nice gun. My only gripe is that I wish the purple on this thing was lighter, the color they've gone with is near-black. Otherwise he's really cool, and goes great with TFU Galvatron and Titanium Scourge, completing the Future Decepticons setup I have longed for. Now if only Scourge had Fracas...

Swindle's good, but not as good as I was expecting. Vehicle mode has stability issues in the front end, though there's a chance I'm transforming things wrong. Gun could stand to peg in more tightly as well. Transformation's a bit finnicky, made trickier by my worry over the use of clear plastic in areas like the upper arms. Robot mode has some SERIOUS trouble with the joints having varying degrees of stiffness, and I really wory about those clear disc-swivels in the upper arms. Wish the backpack didn't just flop about too. But he is a cool toy, much better than all my kvetching would lead you to believe. Headsculpt is great, especially the glowing pupils, and the pop-out weapons are great. Just gonna have to...be careful with him...

Our Target had the same restock today-- we didn't make it in time for Dinobot and Smokescreen (though I've all but decided to go Henkei on those two anyway). They did have a Jetstorm/Jetfire pack left, but lack of funds prohibited til next week. I did pick up one of those black TF lunch coolers with the silver symbol that have been out for a while; they're clearanced down to $5 now.
I disappear.

Mmkay, so. I recently had one of those awesome G1 hauls that only come along once in a very long while. A workmate had a box o' G1 in his garage, and gave it to me pretty cheap. I offered him more, but he wouldn't take it..

Thus far, complete figures include:

- Starscream
- Tracks
- Kickback and Shrapnel
- Flywheels
- Drill Dasher
- Eject, Ravage, Rumble, and Steeljaw
- Bumblebee, Cosmos, Hubcap, Pipes, and Seaspray
- Scavenger, Mixmaster, and Hook
- All the Throttlebots
- All the Firecons

Incomplete:

- Thundercracker
- Camshaft
- Bonecrusher

But the best part by far is that the guy and his brother originally had a 'lot' more TFs. Although the likes of Megs, Soundwave, Blaster, Prime, Grimlock, Menasor, and many more are long gone, their accessories remain, all deliciously baggied. And so do their accessories. Sweeeet.

It'll take me a while to work out what I do and don't have, and what I can upgrade my own figures with.

'86, I am jealous in ways I cannot express. Curse you. And your BAGS.

Anyway, I technically had today off, but had to go into work anyway to cover for the EVERYONE who had called in. Made it up to myself by swinging by Target, and boy did it ever make up. Though they were out of Starscream of all toys, they still had Hound, plus Dinobot and Animated Blurr. Shweet, snagged all three. Also saw Smokescreen, who actually looked better in person than he had in photos, but I still passed. No chinstrap means no sale, Hasbro.

Haven't opened any of them yet, but I promise thoughts when I do.

Eh? They left his chin unpainted so it looks like he has it, so I dunno what you're talkin' about.
