QC: Sideswipe?

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

So they're all Finally Out Here and stuff. I've snagged one Sideswipe, but didn't want to be a git and get two, considering how many others are still looking for the wave. When we get more saturation, I'll bite.

Your Wal-Mart stays open all night? That's nuts, I've never heard of such a thing. Mine closes at 11.

Also, I already burn with embarassment enough when I have to BUY the damn toys (Friggin' department stores need to stop hiring attractive young women as their cashiers!), so I don't know that I could bring myself to inquire about action figure shipping schedules.

I've got both around these parts...all-night Wal-Marts and regular. Those all-night ones are hazardous. Especially when they're between my bar job and home...

Hell, it wasn't for twenty-four hour Wal-Marts, I wouldn't have half the movies I own, and would probably not have gotten so hooked on the 25th Joe line.

They still make ones that don't? I've never seen such a thing.

I'm not embarassed that I buy toys. It's my hobby, and if you don't like it, well, then I don't like you.

Also, I didn't inquire--I simply showed up daily at night and observed. Thursday is when they got new cases in.

That kinda makes sense, but there's the point that I buy toys at this store *regularly*, and I really quiver at the thought of these people turning to each other and laughing at me as soon as I'm out the door. Especially when I realize that if I'd just been buying, say, a hat or something, I'd be able to chat a cashier-girl up. Get some numbers that way, go on dates, y'know? But as soon as I put the forty dollar Transformer with LIGHTS and SOUNDS on the conveyor belt, that opportunity goes out the window. My choice though, I guess.

Maybe you're just buying it for a nephew, or something. They don't know.

Hey, my local Wal-Marts all have self-checkouts. Not that I'm worried about what cashiers think of me, but I could always go through those if it were an issue. :)

Prowl, would you like a little of my self-esteem? >_>

Maybe I'm showing my 'age' here, but...

Why would you WANT to date a girl who thinks Transformers are lame?! Do people not go for others who share their interests any more; did I miss that memo? They don't need to be a MASSIVE FAN, but jeez, if you feel like one of your hobbies is 'preventing' you from meeting someone, you need to rethink your standards.

Sorry for off-topicness, but I'm not above physically striking my friends when they do similar things. A buddy of mine was scared a guy she liked might find out she's into Shitty Anime, and I was like... IF HE GOES OUT WITH YOU HE'S GOING TO FIND OUT ANYWAY!! YOU HAVE A CUDDLY GAARA!!

How very very silly. -____-
COME TO TFVIEWS oh you already did

Gomess and Mirage hit the two main points.

But, if you really find buying toys from a pretty young thing to be emasculating, you could always order them online. (I do this because I am sick of Target not stocking anything. I would buy toys from hot young cashiers.....if there were any to buy.)

I know, that's my big thing. That's partially why I'm so damned blatant about it anyway.

Besides, Prowl, with you, I'd be more worried about girls finding out about your massive manga collection and...provocative sigpic.
