No way. The designs are inspired, if oddball, that's definitely more personal preference than genuinely bad toys there. All the Vehicons are fantastic, and while a lot of the Maximals may have strange designs, they're not necessarily functionally bad. Mega and Supreme Cheets I'd call out, along with Not-So-Mega. And Geckobot, he's pretty bad. Nice colours tho'. But this is the line that contained Mega Tankorr, the toy that teamed up with Onslaught to make me the collector I am today, so.

Animorphs, as said before

Yeah, they're both conceptually and functionally terrible. Some made for good fodder, others even less so. I still want Ultra Visser 3. For some reason.

Armada Side Swipe

No waaaay. ArSwipe is oodles of fun. Flippy bit! Flippy bit. Flippy biiiiiit. He's not one for dynamic poses, but his vehicle mode's great, his flippy bit's fantastic, the little knife and gun are grand, his quick-draw/punching action actually works, and the big rams on his arms are fun too. I prefer the Runabout retool, mind you. ArSwipe is a figure I'll call out as among the most fun of the whole line. Unlike, say, Thrust.

As a Transformer, sure, Ratchet and Ironhide are weak. But they're not intended to be giant sentient alien robots, they're intended to be piloted mecha. And as piloted mecha they're pretty nifty toys.

Ratchet and Ironhide are garbage. I had both of them as a kid. Maybe if they had pilots and/or cockpits that were more than just stickers, then maybe I could tolerate those toys. I would rather have a C7 copy of most any other toy, even as low as C4 in some cases, than a C10 of either Ratchet or Ironhide.

I do not know if I would call Leobreaker one of the worst ever, but I have not actually fiddled with the mode. It looks bad, but not "worst ever" bad.

I like Geckobot's beast mode and colours, but the robot mode is very shoddily designed. The limbs are an absolute mess, even Bantor is more cohesive as a whole.

I can see your point with the lack of pilots. If ever there was one set of recycled Diaclone moulds that suffered from being incomplete, it's those ones.

Leobreaker is terrible. Great design, but they simplified it due to the rising cost of plastic at the time, yet left in a horribly useless soundbox. His roaring gimmick is terrible, his articulation is shoddy, his tail weapon sucks, and his arm mode is a joke. Yet his robot mode looks nice and the design is very cool, which makes it hurt all the more. Sigh.

Did we mention Titaniums yet? Worst quality control ever. A lot of great concepts basically ruined by loose joints and weak transformations. Too bad I bought so many of 'em.

The real kicker (!) there is that "Titaniums" could have been so much better as basic, honest, plastic toys. In some cases, the designs would barely even have to change.

The loose joints are kinda irritating, but I've gotta admit, I'm starting to kinda like the Titaniums. Of course I would, now that they're harder to get a hold of.

I dig a lot of the Titaniums, especially the design used for JoeMegs (I know, I know..), as well as Fallen and Cheets. Those latter two are great, really are.

Oh, that is bold. It's easy to say Hot Shot, but I can think of others I think are worse in my collection...

• Machine Wars Starscream - This is a tough one to say is the worst because I do dig him so, but he's big and simplistic. He's just on the list for fairness.
• Mutant Beasts Soundwave - 'nuff said?
• Transmetals 2 Cheetor - there's a lot of TM2 figures I could dog, but this one is the epitome of suck with his crappy chrome problems and his horrible articulation and his ass-quality transformation.
• Beast Machines Megatron - tiny and lame in both modes. Lots of character sucked away by weak deco and small size.
• Armada Smokescreen - still a controversial entry, but I stand by it, one of the most disappointing figures I've ever bought.
• Armada Scavenger - I hate this toy, this is probably my main choice. Terrible execution in transformation and robot mode, downright painful.
• Energon Snowcat - poor color choices, disappointing alt mode, lame transformation, lazy bot mode. Idea was so inspired too.
• Energon Cliffjumper - I don't own this anymore, I returned it to the store it was so bad (and thankfully it was defective).
• Cybertron Lugnutz - one of the worst robot modes ever, can't even hold his weapon right.
• Cybertron Vector Prime - I know it's not exactly fair to put this one on here, but he's a Mega with weak paint, lacking gimmicks, and an ultra-simplistic transformation with a huge kibble pack in bot mode and a big box under the alt mode.
• Classics Astrotrain - 'nuff said.
• Universe 2 Tankor - makes the previous entry look good.
• Titanium Series 6" Megatron - so much failure. So very much. Sculpt, articulation, execution.

No, I would too. I really like the alt mode and its gimmick, and the bot mode has some good detailing and accessories. I wouldn't be surprised it's on someone's worst list though, it has tons of flaws too (giant head, bad articulation, big punch kibble on forearms).

To be fair, it was the first attempt to get back into vehicular designs after five years of animals.

As I understand it, it was that team's first foray into vehicle designs at all. This was still the Kenner design team, IIRC, and they came in on Beast Wars and a touch of Machine Wars. Personally, I like a lot of what came out of Beast Machines in terms of toys, the style worked well and many were fun toys, the few bad choices like Supreme Nightscream notwithstanding.

It skirts that line in some ways, but isn't THAT bad. It's like Cybertron Wingblade, shoddy issues but some good stuff and a gimmick that help alleviate the problem.
