Kiss Players is very much a trainwreck in slow motion for me, I kind of like to read the manga just to look at my warpes expression of horror in the mirror.Misanthrope Prime wrote:I'm actually surprised it took this long to say it... Kiss Players.
Additionally...
Leobreaker
That and the GROW BIGGER gimmick. Also, all of Energon's show bar the first two or three episodes. The Speed Planet portion of Cybertron's Show
No way. The designs are inspired, if oddball, that's definitely more personal preference than genuinely bad toys there. All the Vehicons are fantastic, and while a lot of the Maximals may have strange designs, they're not necessarily functionally bad. Mega and Supreme Cheets I'd call out, along with Not-So-Mega. And Geckobot, he's pretty bad. Nice colours tho'. But this is the line that contained Mega Tankorr, the toy that teamed up with Onslaught to make me the collector I am today, so.Beast Machines, almost all of it, save for some Battle For the Spark Toys
Yeah, they're both conceptually and functionally terrible. Some made for good fodder, others even less so. I still want Ultra Visser 3. For some reason.Animorphs, as said before
No waaaay. ArSwipe is oodles of fun. Flippy bit! Flippy bit. Flippy biiiiiit. He's not one for dynamic poses, but his vehicle mode's great, his flippy bit's fantastic, the little knife and gun are grand, his quick-draw/punching action actually works, and the big rams on his arms are fun too. I prefer the Runabout retool, mind you. ArSwipe is a figure I'll call out as among the most fun of the whole line. Unlike, say, Thrust.Armada Side Swipe
Oh yes.Superstar Patrick "The Transman" Lee-Funana
Overrated, surely, but I'd have not called him outright offensive..Scott McNeil
As a Transformer, sure, Ratchet and Ironhide are weak. But they're not intended to be giant sentient alien robots, they're intended to be piloted mecha. And as piloted mecha they're pretty nifty toys.Dom wrote:To laugh at?
The loose joints are kinda irritating, but I've gotta admit, I'm starting to kinda like the Titaniums. Of course I would, now that they're harder to get a hold of.Mirage wrote:Did we mention Titaniums yet? Worst quality control ever. A lot of great concepts basically ruined by loose joints and weak transformations. Too bad I bought so many of 'em.
I did, and it did not. That figure is damned to hell, it could shower me with riches and I'd still say it's a shitty figure.138 Scourge wrote:I take it you didn't see Donosaur's "Dancing Robots" video? That'll make a Snowcat fan out of most anyone...JediTricks wrote:So, you went out and bought the worst one, wow. Even the GI Joe ref couldn't help that turd of a figure.Gomess wrote:I only bought one Energon toy at all; Snowcat.
Oh, that is bold. It's easy to say Hot Shot, but I can think of others I think are worse in my collection...donosaur wrote:This topic is too big for me, if not for all of us, so I'll limit it down a bit: The worst transformer I own?? Armada Hotshot. So bad I didn't flinch at taking a hacksaw to him to try and "fix" him. I never did bother to finish.
I only have the shrunken version which was cheaper and came with deluxe-size E-Optimus and it all cost LESS than that. He's pretty lame tho', I will grant you that.Onslaught Six wrote:Energon Megatron. He is still, truthfully, the only TF I fully regret purchasing. I wasted a $40 birthday gift on him. Stupid!
It must be hard having such low standards.Gomess wrote:Well, slight mistake on my part, he was bought for me. But hey, he has a cute head, turns into a "real" vehicle, and has SKIS! That's enough for me, really. Only EnerCon I would've liked to have as much as him would be Demolishor (or whatever his dump truck form is called... Irontread in Japan, I think? Eh).
Ha! That makes it officially official, it's so ugly even its mother can't love it.onslaught86 wrote:Hahaha, funny you should mention that. Even the designer doesn't know what the hell he was thinking with that colour scheme: http://www.transformertoys.co.uk/conten ... esign.html
I dunno why that didn't make my list, maybe because I gave it points for being an arm, but yeah, that thing has "worst" written all over it.Misanthrope Prime wrote:Leobreaker
I thought it was ok, a little simplistic but I didn't find it that bad. Not like Alpha Q turning into a total wussy. The Speed Planet portion of Cybertron's Show
Couldn't be said enough.Animorphs, as said before
No, I would too. I really like the alt mode and its gimmick, and the bot mode has some good detailing and accessories. I wouldn't be surprised it's on someone's worst list though, it has tons of flaws too (giant head, bad articulation, big punch kibble on forearms).BWprowl wrote:What?! (okay, I'm probably the only one who would attempt to defend this one)Misanthrope Prime wrote:Armada Side Swipe
As I understand it, it was that team's first foray into vehicle designs at all. This was still the Kenner design team, IIRC, and they came in on Beast Wars and a touch of Machine Wars. Personally, I like a lot of what came out of Beast Machines in terms of toys, the style worked well and many were fun toys, the few bad choices like Supreme Nightscream notwithstanding.andersonh1 wrote:To be fair, it was the first attempt to get back into vehicular designs after five years of animals.Misanthrope Prime wrote:I disagree. I like the design philosophy of the vehicons... halfway between animal and vehicle modes, but I think their execution is shoddy, especially compared to the vehicle designs of RiD.
What? BM Skydive is so cool! He's got a wild transformation and great styling. He's got swords and a spring-loaded beak, he's nifty. And DvD found this kickass pose: http://www.dvandom.com/images/skydive.GIFMisanthrope Prime wrote:That pterodactyl BMac toy? Awful.
I kinda like the transformation and the weapon vehicle, but TFs should have some semblance of a head or face.Dominic wrote:I am going to have to say G1 Ironhide or Ratchet.
Yeah, the growing TFs in Energon were supremely lame. (get it, SUPREMELY?onslaught86 wrote:That and the GROW BIGGER gimmick.
It skirts that line in some ways, but isn't THAT bad. It's like Cybertron Wingblade, shoddy issues but some good stuff and a gimmick that help alleviate the problem.Dom wrote:I do not know if I would call Leobreaker one of the worst ever, but I have not actually fiddled with the mode. It looks bad, but not "worst ever" bad.
Robot mode. What is not to like about Geckobot?
