Generations BW Megatron toy on it's way, pics in thread

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

. Er, I did the opposite. Slapped Grimlock colors on a TM Megatron body (well, Armada Predacon, but y'know). Don't think I've seen that homage working the other way, but I could get behind it.

I can get behind this, too. Don't know if I'll buy it or not, but it's kind of clever. Now watch the whole thing turn out to be in T-Wrecks or Predacon colors or something.

I'm sure it almost goes without saying that I'd be fine with G2 repaints of Grimlock or anything, right?
Is that what it was? Huh, I thought it was the other way around. Either way, I recall it looking pretty damned good to the point I was wondering why Hasbro hadn't just done it.

Again, as far as this repaint goes, I can already see it since it's already one of my custom multiplayer characters in the FoC game. And I can tell you that the colors actually do work pretty well on that model. Granted, the game's Megatron head is somewhat different from BW Megs but, it's close enough.

This Generations BW Megatron toy will probably be based off the TM1 toy & have the TM1 colors apllied to the FOC Voyager Grimlock toy. Because BW 1996 Leader megatron had that Synthetic/fake-organic beast mode, while TM1 Megatron had that mechanical/robotic beast mode like FOC Grimlock has.

I would actually buy T-Wrecks Colours.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

Ditto, you know it. Not only do I have way more love for T-Wrecks as a character than logic dictates I should, but his colors are really nice and distinctive. I don't think I've seen that particular lovely shade of metallic, bronzy orange anywhere else.

I'd like to see the BM Dinobots make a comeback...somewhere. Not bloody likely, I know, since Hasbro can't even seem to put out new toys of the G1 Dinobots who aren't Grimlock.
