Are you thinking Punch-Counterpunch? Cause that could really work (and has been shown too).

Recon Barricade showed up last night. Why? Cheap and secondhand. That, and it's not a mould I've devoted a lot of fiddle-time to. It's an interesting case, since Barricade really illustrates the shortcomings of the movie line. Fantastic alt. mode, lovely detailing, but average articulation (There is absolutely no reason the head isn't on a ball joint), a terrible gimmick, and a clumsy transformation make him a lot less fun than he should be. There are 'no' good poses. Zero. Zilch. None. Best to leave him in vehicle mode, and that's a shame right there.
Still, Blue Frenzy. I'm tempted to get the other two flavours, Allspark Tube and Scene Battles, for the other flavoured Frenzies. For shame, self, for shame. At least the Recon deco is surprisingly decent, just wish that Standard Blue he has was metallic flake.

TF:U Tankor - Hit Target for some SDCC supplies (Ensure, sunscreen, I don't even remember what else) and found this one. Even though I had been adequately warned, I had to know in person, so down went $10. Man, there is officially a new court jester in the Classics line, Tankor has dethroned the previous one, Astrotrain. I didn't like Astrotrain, but he was a sight better than this all-around loser. Whoever designed Tankor here needs to put down the pipe and get himself to an NA meeting, stat. So many poor ideas, a really stupid head, and underwhelming sculpting. And what's the hinged buttplate about? How they could take a weak G1 character and make him worse in every way is impressive, but the figure itself is merely laughable at best.
Haw! That's really clever. The duck-feet on Counterpunch don't look good, but the rest delivers so well. I also think the "engine" accessory could have been used as a weapon, just add a small peg to the underside or something. He beat Hasbro to the punch

on their Sideswipe swap.

I'm the only one who likes OcTankor, aren't I?
*sigh* I'll have to give him a review right quick here. To present my side of the story...

Although it could just be choice of words, I will heavily contest that Octane's a weak character. He was one of the best-developed of G1 S3, with at least three episodes running through his defecting from the Decepticons.

I always thought the bit in Octane's bio about being terrified of a shot igniting all the fuel he carries was pretty nifty. Seems a logical enough fear. Thinking of it, though...where does he store all that fuel in robot mode?
This is one of those things it might be best not to ask, right?
I might like Octankor. I dunno, haven't gotten him yet. I'll get around to it, most likely.
Of course I said the same 'bout Astrotrain, and that didn't work out too well.

I love Clastrotrain, especially Taklastrotrain. Expect I'll at least enjoy Octankor, though the wheels bugged me from the moment I saw them, as did the lame claw and fists. Triplechangers do impress me.
