Yep yep! I use that trick to drive into the volcano without gliding. Let's me attach another Mini-Con for the big fight

Just beat "The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks" on the Nintendo DS!
Fun little game. Very much like Phantom Hourglass in terms of difficult puzzles and simple simple enemies. The biggest improvement is the Spirit Tower, which is this games "Temple of the Ocean King" that you constantly have to revisit. In Hourglass you had to go through every level each time before you got to the new levels of the temple. In Spirit Tracks you get to skip all the tower levels that you've already been through and go straight to the new stuff. Makes life much easier. Oh, and there's no time limit on you. I swear, that timer in the Ocean King's temple was the source of more stress headaches than anything. Ugh. I still have plenty of side quests and extra stuff that I could do, and unlike Hourglass, I actually feel kind of compelled to go back and do them.
Verdict- Fun game. Recommended. Expect a more cerebral than physical challenge.

I'm very much in favour of more original names for things in video games. =| How generic can you get? Are there even spirits in it?

Remember, though, this is Japanese. To them, "Spirit Tower" probably sounds exotic and foreign. Like how Terra was named Tina in Japanese FF6, because Tina was foreign and American. For Americans, it was...well, Tina, so they named her Terra.

Just now beat Viewtiful Joe. OMG what a hard game! They're just lucky that's it's got so much charm and that it actually is a lot of fun to play. But DAMN!!! I haven't played a game that hard for a long time. Feels good. Some serious bragging rights with this one. Phew! I was kind of dead set on trading this game off the moment I beat it, but . . . it *is* pretty cool. Maybe instead of punishing it for being so hard, I should just get better at it. I went through the first level again and it was way easy this time. Not sure if that's because it's the first level or if I've just gotten that good. Probably a bit of both. I can't believe I'm thinking this, but . . . I may even go out and get Viewtiful Joe 2. But not before I tackle something else off my original list!

Lately I've been playing Burnout 3 on the xbox. A driving game where the goal is to cause the biggest accident possible? AWESOME!! I'm nearly through all the crash events.

Oh yeah! I love the crash portion of that game! I think I got addicted to that more than winning races!

I know I did. This time around I haven't even played the race mode Just the crash mode. And I've unlocked way more crash levels than I had before. I love that each level is kind of a puzzle that even though you're trying to create carnage it's controlled carnage!

So next on the agenda is Phantasy Star 2 for the Genesis. I'm playing the version on the PS2 Sega Genesis Collection, which allows me to save anywhere. Handy little feature. Right now I'm making my way through the Green Dam. The dungeons in this game can be really complex and maddening. Very easy to lose track of where you are. Thankfully I have the giant booklet that came with the game. It's like a complete walkthrough! If I didn't have that, hoo boy, I could be wandering for hours.
