Compare the situation to Armada or Cybertron, though, where if there was a dude named Starscream, guys named Thundercracker and Skywarp were sure to be close behind. Then you get into things like the PVCs, Robot Heroes, Titaniums--even the movie toyline you can extrapolate this from.

I think a LOT of this could have been avoided if Hasbro had simply released Thundercracker in place of Ramjet to begin with. Then it could have fallen on Botcon or Takara's hands to produce the Coneheads, which Hasbro could later recoup costs on by releasing them at retail a few years later.

Also, if they had simply said at the beginning, "Hey, guys, chill out, Thundercracker is planned for 2011," then I think many of us would have shut up and been patient.

The part that makes you look crazy though, is the way you take points off for international releases and exclusives that would have allowed those fans who *really* wanted all six to get them early, all because their paint apps didn't match up perfectly.

I should not have to buy imports or exclusives for this sort of thing. Yeah, I like imports, but I should not have to buy them to get a complete set of damned planes.

think what I *really* love about the whole Seeker situation though, is the knowledge that if Hasbro had gone and done all six Seekers back in Classics, then fans would have inevitably bitched and moaned about them releasing too many repaints instead of new molds. God we are never happy.

Maybe I would not yell if you stopped eating cookies in the damn bed!

Joking aside, it is not recolours that tend to annoy myself and most fans, it is endless same character recolours. There are some moulds that I will buy over and over and over and over and over again quite happily.

The Dinobots would require unique and character-specific tooling. So, I can see why Hasbro avoids them. The damned seekers would share most of their tooling, and have plenty of recolour potential.

Also, if they had simply said at the beginning, "Hey, guys, chill out, Thundercracker is planned for 2011," then I think many of us would have shut up and been patient.

Why wait the 4 damned years?

You're right, releasing Thundy in Universe 2.0 would have made far more sense, it was only because the Club couldn't keep their dick in their pants that Thundergate happened. (Of course, Hasbro approved, but in '07 who knows what Hasbro had planned? They were smack in the middle of the first Movie toyline and dealing with more important things like distribution. Remember The Drought?)

I am not going to blame the club for exploiting an opportunity that Hasbro handed to them.
