Anderson, all you have to do is postiion your computer just so....

Seriously, Don, that is great. From person experience, (on both side of it), do not be too stiff. If you are the only one with a tie, that can be almost as bad as being under-dressed.


That sourcebook Anderson mentioned is pretty good. Even people who dislike Dreamwave have to concede it is the best TF sourcebook ever, and a good sourcebook over-all. It has its share of bumps and dings. But, it si generally pretty good. (I recall hearing that it is still the default sourcebook. Unless something current contradicts, and therefor over-writes it, it is considered to be a legit source.)


And, from Scoruge: Unmasked Iron Patriot variant. The friggin' arm popped off the figure as soon as it came out of the package. QC issues aside, it is a good toy....but erg. I am definitely being more forgiving as Osborn is one of my favorite characters in comics. Scourge also sent a pile of comics my way.

Aw, that sucks about Osborn disassembling himself like that. I can relate, though, my damn Doctor Doom from the same line had his head pop off while I was removing him from his package. Damn thing. Hopefully it'll pop back on easy enough, yeah?

Hope you dig the comics, a few of those are legitimately good, and a couple are just dirty jokes, so i figured you might like 'em.

Good news on the job there, Don. I'm kind of jealous of your cubicle. The closest I've ever come to having one is when I worked for a company that sold and installed cubicles and such, but still. Anyway, congrats on all that.

Oh that's basically what we have. You can stand up and see who's where easily. It's shoddy cover for nerf fire, I suspect.

Speaking of which, I haven't seen any nerf warfare occur as of yet, but there are multiple people with extra armaments. I've seen a few of those big tripod mounted vulcan cannon things already. I need to up my game I think. I'm considering getting one of those nerf battle axes or swords to hang in my cubette, in place of a mounted LOTR replica Narsil or whatever.

Get a trash can lid shield. That will stop the darts long enough for you to get in their and whack 'em.

I'll second a recommend on the MTMTE guide. I've got both of them, and while most of the art is laughably bad, it's so packed with tons of information on basically EVERYONE from G1, plus a bunch of other general TF stuff, that I have to admit it's awesomeness as a resource.

Worst part about the art? Jackpot did 'loads' of it, and it was awesome, and they didn't use it because it wasn't "house style." I am serious.

(To be fair, some of it had legitimate reasons for not being there. He did one of Vortex where he did that weird thing where the metal physically bends. But I liked it anyway.)

Picked up Huffer with Caliburst today. First PCC figure that I've bought, and mainly because it's Huffer. Little orange and blue guy, grumpy, turns into a truck. Sounds a lot like some version of the G1 character to me. And Caliburst looked like the best mini-con to me, though the one that turns into a battle axe didn't look too bad either.

Nice going on the job Don, that totally rocks!

I picked up some more foil carded SW figures: Darth Vader, Sandtrooper, and Han Solo. Non foil Boba Fett. And ROTF Breakdown. I have Oil Pan, but I like the colors on Breakdown much better.

Went to use up some of a Barnes and Noble gift card I've had lying around, and picked up Chuck Palinhuik's "Pygmy". The character who tells the story has English as their second language, so from what I can tell so far, the entire thing reads like it got fed through babelfish and translated a few times before being English again. Odd read. And two chapters in, there's already a scene that makes me go "Oh, good lord!" Dude gets pretty gross on occasion, but the fact that his stuff's funny and compelling balances it out.
