Dunno if I would say "Shattered Glass" is an incredible success beyond a very small part of the fandom.
Dom
-curious about RiD Bruticus.

Well, it was received much better than most other lines; I don't think I've heard one discouraging remark about it, most certainly nothing like "Trukk not Munky" or Pokeformers or something like that.

It's also barely known outside of shoddy club fanfiction written by M Sipher and Trent Troop. (Admittedly, I haven't read any of the SG fiction directly, besides Shattered Expectations, and I do like what they're doing with the TransTech universe.)

SG is garbage. Email me, and I can share some of it.

Ok, I got confirmation today that Q&A is not dead, they are working on a new schedule now.

Q&A is now 2 questions 6 times a year, and this round is due Sunday night. (The deadline is early Monday morning, but I don't wake up early enough to make that work so Sunday is our deadline.)
They have provided us with some guidelines on what is and isn't available to ask:
* Unfortunately, there are some things that we cannot comment publicly on due to confidentiality, legal or competitive reasons. Examples of these types of questions are ones that relate to the upcoming TV series or movies that have not had details announced yet, “When will X toy be made/redesigned/released?”, Hypothetical scenarios or “what if questions”, Sales/Cost Data, Product Idea Submissions, Potential Design/Redesign and Future Movie/Entertainment.
* With that said, that leaves a lot of room for a whole host of other discussion points. Topics that are open for discussion are things like Deco Decisions, Current Design Choices, Design Process/Development, Character choices and Redeco/Retooling choices. Also, questions pertaining to past and current Lore/Storyline, Line Strategy and Marketing are open for discussion too.
Answers will be returned March 29th, and the next round's questions will be due May 3rd (again, 10am EST is too early for me, so consider that May 2nd).

Possible questions: (JT, pick the two you think will work best within Hasbro's new guidelines.) I admit to being curious about the second one, but am dubious that Hasbro institutionally knows this.
-Will we see more secondary characters from one aesthetic being translated to others? This questions is especially focused on new character-specific moulds (like movie Lockdown) rather than recolors (like movie Gears). What is the process behind deciding which characters get this treatment?
-Ever since it was made known that the mold was originally intended for the "Battle for the Sparks" portion of the Beast Machines line, there's been much speculation as to what RiD Bruticus' "spark gimmick" was supposed to be. Was this gimmick ever established in development, before being scrapped, and if so, what was it meant to do?
-What is the thinking behind the design team making toys in reference to obscure characters such as RiD Bruticus (recolored from "Cybertron" Scourge)? Are these in-house favorites? Or, is it a question of using names for copyright reasons, and wanting to use characters consistently with certain names?
Dom
-will let JT rephrase his sound chip question.
-Are there any plans to explore a "Shattered Glass" version of other lines?

Shattered Glass Cybertron: "If we don't lose these four Cyber Keys on the various planets quickly, then the universe will be destroyed by a massive supernova!" The cartoon would have been really good if it wasn't for the horrible, dull dialouge and voice acting.
I support the latter two questions. The first one seems to be exactly what they said not to do with the "Will toy X get made" guideline.

I am hoping that question is general enough to slip through. But, I see your point.
