I take issue with Blades having a bad colour scheme. He is Red and very little else, and completely unecessary with Energon Quickstrike as a factor. If anything, Quickstrike looks more like Blades, who was primarily white.

Springer's similarly unecessary, taking both Energon Bulkhead and BotCon Springer into account. Ratbat I do want. But not enough to get the enormous set with Springer. Roadbuster/Dirge irks me more. I love Roadbuster, absolutely love him, but hate the CD Hotshot mould. Dirge is just another waste of space repaint, as unlike Dom, I don't like that particular mould. Owning all three flavours of CyberScream, the Mega strikes me as the clunkiest. The gimmick's a good idea in practice, doesn't work so well in execution. Lots of little parts get in each other's way. I also take offense that they scrapped the electronics and sold it as-is. Plus, poor articulation. Not among Cybertron's finest. SupremeScream has many little touches I like a lot more.

If only Ratbat and Roadbuster were the two-pack.

The Voyager Starscrem had electronics in Japan?

I agree about the CD Hotshot mold. But, I will need it for my War Planet display. The fact it will be packaged with a suitable generic, Dirge, makes it something I can stomach.

I dunno if he had them in Japan, but he was definitely planned to. Likewise, I'm positive Vector Prime was gonna have a light-up chest gimmick.

Nah, didn't have any in Japan. I own the Galaxy Force version. However, if you unscrew the dark blue panel on the underneath of his back, he has battery compartments. So, a cop-out, as we have a toy designed and limited by electronics that doesn't have any.

I really like that mold, despite it's limitations. Or at least that design, I guess. Got that sucker in three different size classes, and I'm still really kinda sad that I missed picking up a knock-off of it that was roughly deluxe size. Tell you what, I'd have learned to paint well to make an Acid Storm outta that guy.

Ah, Acid Storm. That is one repaint that is most assuredly not lacking. The name "Biohazard" never seemed right to me anyhow, even if we couldn't think of anything better back in the day. The only thing about Acid Storm that I kinda don't care for...I just wish he was a brighter green. Like, eye-searing green, with nice forest-green stipes on the wings and limbs. Still, I'll take the camo pattern just to have a toy of the Anonymous Green Seeker finally exist.

I <3 the Anonymous Green Seeker, I really do.

He's not anonymous any more. ;)

Heh, now I'm imagining Acid Storm posting on 4chan..and my desire to own the toy has substantially increased.

Okay, not the best picture in the world (Webcam, bleh. I'm lazy), but you can see the paint I was talking about, and that's what counts.

I want Ratbat badly as well, and since I don't own the Evac mold, Springer's just as well (I don't have Botcon Springer either, so this way I at least end up with one version of Classics Springer).

I'm beyond torn on Acid Storm. I love the colors, and the concept (New Seekers are always awesome. Sunstorm, yo.), but... I really don't like that mold very much. I somehow wish they'd used the Ramjet modification, as it fixes my biggest (but certainly not only) niggle with the toy: the wing/arm collision ratio. Eh, we'll see...

Of course, if we get Sunstorm somewhere down the line, even if it is based on that mold, I'll buy it in a heartbeat.

Hahah, for a second there I was going to be all "No, that's YOUR non-crappy head!"

Damn you, Prowl, now I'm going to have to get the thing. That's awesome, that is, and really does make him look like Blaster. Saved by a paint app! And by my only owning Soundblaster. I'd pine for Twincast to go against him, but Cybertron Soundwave is those colours anyway.

It's Acid Storm's colours that don't do it for me. He's markedly not an exciting toy. Although I'd buy him over Galvatron. Rargh.

Whassa matter with Galvatron? Let me guess: You want him to be bigger?
