An actual Transformers purchase for me, woo! Skrapnel and Reflector, purchased from Target this evening, mainly because I couldn't resist the tiny little camera that is Reflector.
Made to deal with Prowl to trade a Crosscut for a Death's Head, and that arrived sometime last week (Jesus!) along with an Energon Signal Flare, who is a dude I didn't have, and a Super Megaforce Red Ranger, which is actually cool because I didn't want to actually have to buy any of these to see if they were any good!
Then it was Black Friday, where I worked a 12 hour shift and wanted to kill myself. But after that, I got the last pickings and got:
-Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, which I started playing yesterday. It's...weird. I'm no stranger to Platinum (I have and loved Vanquish) but this game really drops you in with no preparation. I made it to the first real boss and got my ass handed to me for about an hour before I looked up online what I was doing wrong, which it turns out was, "Everything." So, it's got a bit of a curve to it. Thankfully, once you get good enough to beat that boss, the whole rest of the game falls into that same paradigm, so you "get it."
-Inception, Dark Knight Rises and Prometheus for $2 each. Probably not the best versions of these available on DVD, but $2 to watch three of my favourite movies whenever I want? Yeah fuck it. (And you can argue with me about Prometheus all day.)
Then I drove to the retro game store a city away (after a 12 hour shift and barely sleeping) and grabbed a PS1 for $5 along with a few games for Randi's brother for Christmas, so that's a thing.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.
