The translucent plastic was a big part of the BM designs. It's a stylistic choice. It took me a long time to actually like it, but I eventually did--what did it was picturing the translucent bits as being techno-organic somehow or other and everything else was pure metal.

Also: Vehicons Vehicons Vehicons. There is no crappy Vehicon toy. None! Except maybe Not-So-Mega Megatron.

I disagree. I like the design philosophy of the vehicons... halfway between animal and vehicle modes, but I think their execution is shoddy, especially compared to the vehicle designs of RiD.

To be fair, it was the first attempt to get back into vehicular designs after five years of animals.

I love pretty much everything about the Vehicons and wish we'd gotten a few more. I'm not as big a fan of the BMac Maximals by any means, though there are some strong designs. To stick to the topic, I have to say that Nightscream looks like the biggest waste of plastic. Way too big, floppy and unstable. Silverbolt, despite having a good bot mode has one of the lamest attempts at a avian mode ever.

That pterodactyl BMac toy? Awful. Bruticus (the three headed dog released during RiD)? Awful. Supreme Cheetor? Who would buy that? Why?

The Vehicons all having heads in vehicle mode was awesome. Come on, you know you made Deluxe Jetfire's head spring out and have him look around 'all the time.' I know I did. It gave me a reason to leave him to vehicle mode for a long time, which is really uncommon for TF.

I have to admit that I did. Amazon.com was selling it for $10 with free shipping, so I bit. Looks good, but hobbled by the gimmicks and needs more articulation.

Hey, it was well worth the $10.

I am going to have to say G1 Ironhide or Ratchet.

The 3H comics were pretty awful as well.
