Cyclonus's face sculpt is terrific. It's clearly taking some cues from the lines on the TFA toys.

Cheetor's got a nice beast mode (though it'd be hard not to be better than the original's), but his robot mode drives me insane. They couldn't think of ANYTHING else to do with that tail? Even the original turned it into a gun! A tail pulled out and stuck in a hand does not a weapon make, Hasbro! Head needs a bit more paint on it too.

Too much white on Cyclonus, but otherwise not too bad.

Not really impressed with Cheetor at all.

Hound looks nice. Great G1 nod. He'll go good with the rest of my classics.

Half of Cybertron's Jungle Planet disagrees. Scourge, Undermine, Snarl..

Yeah, but at least those had sculpting to them that let them reasonably pass as an axe, a mace, a sword, etc. Cheetor's is just...a tail sticking straight up out of his hand. It's ridiculous.

But...but...he has those killer throwing stars. They're throwing stars dude. THROWING STARS!!!!!

Not swaying you any? Me either as I really can't get excited about him. I have countless versions of Cheetor and I guess they're all just fine for me IMO.

Now I'm not saying by any means that no one else should not like him. Heck I may see some offical pics where he's properly transformed that pull me in his dirrection, but for now I'm just not feeling it.

That's my major problem with it. We already have multiple versions of Cheetor. Do we really need another one? If it were done to perfection, I might be tempted. But it's not all that good.

Hey, I enjoyed the recent Titanium version of Cheetor from Beast Machines. I like the character just fine. But the remake of his original form doesn't inspire me.

I'd have bought it if it were well done, see. I only own TMII Cheetor and...I guess Nacho Grande now. It's not even the actual Cheetor design, it's decent--at the least, it's par for the course for BW. What I'd have liked to see is a 'good' Cheetor redux.

The original's hind legs have the same problem as...a lot of early BW, in that they're uncovered and just have Robot Bits hanging there. They could've redesigned his legs and made them work.

The lack of guns just hurts. Cheetor had 'two' guns! Two! Not just the tailgun, but his awesome gut gun, too!

That pretty much sums up my feelings on this new version of Cheetor as well. While I appreciate that they are taking another look at BW characters, I don't think this version of Cheetor is good enough. I like the look of the beast mode, but I'd prefer that the robot mode look more accurate to the cartoon. And I think they should have kept at least one of his guns.

Yeah, they should use that energy giving us new versions of other characters! Like Grimlock, and Optimus Prime!

This is what I'm talking about when I say I'm worried about the line GI Joe-ing itself to death. At least there's Animated to give us new characters and so forth.
