First look at production Metroplex, who needs stickers

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

Yeah,I heard that Comic Con thing too,I dis-missed it because I figured the takara guy was referencing outdated info. due to the SDCC site releasing all that G.I Joe VS TF toys info & other toy lines info on their site weeks ago.

If The SDCC does have a exclusive Titan Metroplex,I'll try to buy one. Last year I was very lucky to order a SDCC Bruticus from HTS.com

I think the HTS site crashes on SDCC day due to the star wars & G.I Joes fans. If I had my way,The SDCC star wars exclusives would appear on the HTS site on Monday. Tuesday would be G.I Joe SDCC exclusive day on HTS.com. Wednesday on HTS would be Transformers day. Thursday would be G.I Joe VS TF excusives day on HTS. Thursday would be my little pony & other toy lines day.

If I had my way that chrome face metroplex with the painted on stickers would be a shared exclusive between Amazon.com & BBTS.com. Because these sites are super easy to order stuff & not worry about stuff selling out super quick. I'd imagine BBTS.com would do a pre-order.

When SDCC 2011/2012 & NYCC 2011/2012 were doing those TFP exclusives. I thought a great idea was to do a zombie colored voyager Skyquake with three of the earth humans, maybe throw in a few legends sized toys to even out the box set.

They had no Transformers reveals at all, probably holding them back for Botcon this week, double-dip the press.

It's everything, no one group has that big a presence I think. The fucking Jem dolls moved hard too, who gives a crap about Jem? Someone!

I think this question below needs to get asked in this thread.

How many TFView members will try to buy a SDCC Mextroplex toy when it's put up for sale on the HTS web site a few days after SDCC ends?

SDCC/HTS will be charging $150 for metroplex +$17+ in shipping fees+around $13 in tax which equals under/over $180+-.

We all know the Mass released version of 3Oth Titan metroplex is pre-ordering selling for around $109.99 on various web sites like BBTS,TFscource,etc.. I suspect HTS.com & Amazon.com might also sell Titan Metroplex for around $109.99 with free shipping.

So the question begs to get answered,Is the vacumized Chrome face, chrome thighs, higher end glossy stickers,12 mini decoy figures & a better collectors styled box worth pay a extra $50+ for?

as most know the HTS site on SDCC ordering day does not offer free shipping for SDCC exclusives. HTS charges tax while sites like BBTS,Tfsource & Amazon might not charge tax.

I don't have the space to put a cityformer, as much as I'd like to have one. Or, rather, there's no where in my house I could put it where people wouldn't laugh the fuck at me, and I entertain often.

MSRP is $125, when it gets close to hitting shelves that's what the big retailers will be asking for it until we get close to sale season, Novemberish.

Call it a children's coat rack, or an investment since its value is due to go up from being a limited edition, exclusive item. :p

All the places we could put it are occupied by absinthe towers and abstract art sculptures. I live in a classy ass household.

Apparently it's not rubbed off on you and the classy ass way you express yourself. ;) If that's the case, I'd suggest dressing it in clothes and calling it performance art, you're going to adopt it as your son. Yes, that's a callback, but retro is in.

TFW has a detailed look at Metro retail version: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-ima ... Metroplex/
Part of me is really annoyed at how lazy the arm transformations are. Part of me says that it's taller than Fort Max and has nice sculpting.

I'd rather buy one big perfection TF toy instead of 15+ inferior tiny TF toys.

Buying Titan Metroplex is a must since i'm a huge 1986 Season 3/movie fan. I plan to get at least one version. I'm just deciding if the SDCC chrome parts are worth paying a 50% mark up for. To add coal,That SDCC HTS site ordering day is a un-pleasant experience due to the site freezing, chrashing, shutting down & selling out of desired stuff in under a minute.

Various on-line sites might not charge sales tax for the Mass released Titan Metroplex. this right here is another $12+ in savings.

UPDATE of sorts: I didn't bother trying to order the SDCCC 2013 Titan Metroplex. Because I didn't think the Bling-bling Vacumized chrome on the face & Thighs were worth me pay a extra $60 for. paying $150+ $17 in shipping fees & $13 in sales tax equals around $180----> No thanks,I can order a Mass released Titan Metroplex on-line for $109+$14 in shipping fees+PAY NO Tax,equals $123.

I have ZERO interest in the 10 decoys that SDCC Metroplex comes with,if this is the reason for the insane price hike (Compared to the on-line $109 mass released price) along with the chrome face & thighs THEN NO THANKS.

YES,I'm well aware that that the USA retail store/sites price for mass released Titan Metroplex is around $129. However their are about a half a dozen USA based import sites selling the mass released Titan Metroplex for $109 & they are no charging sales tax.

That's the main selling point for me. Okay, the sculpt and character matters too, but how can I say I have the biggest Transformer when I don't any more? That's going to keep me up at night, I'm sure! :P

Now to find the money to buy the thing.
