Why would it need a humanoid form for it to have loads of articulation? I don't understand why you seem to think they wouldn't be able to do that with a dinosaur form as well. I mean, look at the WFC version of Trypticon. If they went with something like that design, they could very easily give it as much posability as a MP figure, if not more so.
I & the majority won't be interested in spending $125+ for a Titan Trypticon that transformed from T-Rex,then into a space ship mode then into a city mode. I don't even think it's possible for such a toy to transform back & forth into these modes,at best they'd all look like garbage & have excessible kibble on them from the other modes.
What majority are you talking about? The majority of fans I've seen have said they'd love to see a new Trypticon figure like that. That same link I posted above has plenty of such fans saying exactly that, not to mention several people here. And Takara/Hasbro's engineers are very good at what they do to pull off a lot of the Transformers designs they've created over the years. I see no reason to doubt that they could come up with a great Trypticon figure.

It's fans ideas like this ^ make me happy that fans have ZERO input of what Hasbro/Takara creates for the TF toy line.

This Awful idea of a Titan sized Trypricon toy that has a T-rex mode that transforms into a Nemesis ship then a city mode WILL NEVER GET CREATED BY HASBRO. So adding anymore replies on this topic is a waste of my valuable time+energy.

Any new updated toy For Trypticon due to it having no Humanoid mode SHOULD ONLY BE A $29.99 USA PRICED CYBER-VERSE PLAY SET TOY,NOT A 24 INCH TITAN SIZED $125+ TF TOY.

What fan idea? That a dinosaur form can have just as much articulation, or more so, than a humanoid form? Hate to break it to you but that's not a fan idea. That would just be good design. And that particular design I linked came from the "War For Cybertron" video game. Granted a toy version might not look exactly the same, but it's a place to start.

I thought the point of this thread was what we wanted to see as Titan class toys? You don't like what most of us picked as an option and suddenly it becomes a waste of time and energy to talk about it? I don't know what you've personally got against Trypticon just because it doesn't have a humanoid form, but that would be an awesome toy. Certainly Hasbro must have liked the idea to make Trypticon back in G1. And none of us can say if Hasbro will or wont ever make a Titan Trypticon with any certainty. But they have made a lot of figures from the WFC/FOC games, so I wouldn't discount it as a possibility at the very least.

I'm wondering if this hatred of Trypticon's lack of humanoid robot mode is limited to just Trypticon or does that extend to every animal bot mode based Transformer? Like I wonder if the same hatred extends to like, say... Sky Lynx?

Or any of the beast-form cassettes? Oh man, Tigger must *HATE* Raindance and Grandslam!

Seriously, I think it's amazing that Tiggs thinks kids wouldn't be interested in a giant robot dinosaur. That sort of thing practically sells itself! Doesn't Playskool or V-Tech or something have that line of electronic vehicles turning into robot dinosaurs? One of my little cousins got the huge-ass truck-to-brachiosaurus one for Christmas last year and was tearing the place up with that thing, he loved the hell out of it. He'd probably dig a giant new Trypticon.

As would I, and going by the apparent consensus in this thread (discounting Tegirmigs' hurtful racism towards non-humanoid TFs) Trypticon tops a lot of people's want lists.

I'd also like it if they got around to Grand Maximus at some point, maybe as a retool if they ever pull off a Fort Max. Giant double-Headmaster Pretender city/spaceship robot? That thing would be a blast (I still dream of scoring the G1 version someday).

That's all potential stuff though, I really should be concerning myself with saving money and clearing space for Metroplex. And practicing lifting with my back so I can shlep that beast to the checkout counter. I don't think I'm even worried about my usual toy-buying embarrassment, at this scale it loops around to "Yeah! Look at what I'm buying, motherfuckers!"

Don't you move equipment in a hospital or something? You should be able to lift shit pretty easily.

I'll just order Metroplex online, probably. If I have the money.

Trypticon is one of my all time favorite season 3 cartoon characters as far as persona & things he does goes in the cartoon. I come to realize not every TF cartoon character translates well into a physical toy form.

No,I don't hate those 1980's G-1 TF Beast-formers. I just think when doing new mold updates,Every old school 1980's TF G-1 toy SHOULD BE PLACED IN THE PROPER SIZE SCALE CLASS,PROPER ASSORTMENT CLASS & PROPER NEW MOLD HOMAGE TF TOY LINE.

As most know,Takara/Hasbro don't create that much huge TF toys. So since toy slots are rare,I'd prefer they pick the Best media Transformers that would best translate into a huge TF toy in that huge size class & TF toy line their being placed in. With barely One Titan sized TF toy getting made a year,I feel this toy slot needs to be used wisely. I think Fortress Maximus deserves to be the next Titan Sized TF toy because he's the best candidate that can transfer the best into a Titan toy,He's also never got a update toy & his 1980's toy is in the most demand of all the city formers on the secondary market as far as high price goes.

PRAISE----> I think Takara/Hasbro made wise choices by placing the 1980's cassette-formers in the MP TF toy line & the 2013 Generations TF toy line. These are better TF toy line choices compared to 2005 Cybertron & the Movie-verse.

Like i've been saying in this Thread, please everyone read my replies,I think the proper place for a new mold Trypticon toy is as a $29.99 Cyber-verse play set like the DOTM Ark cyber-verse play set.

As far as placing Sky-lynx in a proper new TF toy line,I honestly think his best spot would be the movie-verse. Due the movie-verse toy line's main strenght of capturing realistic military vehicles & liscensed vehicles likeness the best. I think the movie-verse would do wonders for capturing the likeness of a realistic Nasa space ships likeness with tons of high adult themed sculpt in all modes.

UN-LIKE MOST ON-LINE TF FANS,I can seperate the cartoons/movies from the TF toy lines. I can enjoy the cartoons/movie versions of a TF character yet not feel the need to buy the TF toy that didn't get created decent. I can also enjoy a TF toy design for what it is & not feel the need to enjoy the cartoon/movie TF character persona. Examples: I love BW Dinobot in the cartoon but thus far I refuse to buy any BW Dinobot toys because they are all garbage,If Hasbro makes one eventually I like, then I might buy it. More examples: I love the cartoon Trypticon persona for what it is,"a 3 year old's kind/naieve soul/mind trapped inside the body of a giant capable of mass destruction. I Had various Trypticon's toys & always got rid of them, because the media character designs don't translate well into physical toy form.

Nah, I moved up to a desk-based purchasing job a couple years ago. My physical elements have...not benefitted from the change. :? (But yeah, at the time, lifting huge-ass boxes was a friggin' breeze for me)
I'll just order Metroplex online, probably. If I have the money.
I thought about this, but then the consideration of the shipping costs occurred to me...

I hear that. I put on a lot of weight when I started working desk full time. (Then I lost all of it when I got laid off...I blame a mixture of depression and also not eating Sheetz and McDonald's every day.)

Amazon has free shipping on orders over $25.

I plan to do this aw well & I think it's the best option. Due to some on-line sites like Hasbro.com,TRU.com,Amazon.com offering free shipping when you reach a certain high priced purchase limit.
