What do you think about the Beast Hunters Prime news.

No noses? No problem! Zombiebots? Sure, why not. A confusing new canon that allows loose and contradictory material? And now a new sequel show with an entirely different art style that takes place way in the future!

The Beast Hunters line prompted me to draw a line at the end of season 2. I'm still on a mission to get every character from the first 2 seasons of the show (yeah, I'm doing show-only characters), and after that I'm done. The Mad Max style vehicles, all decked out with spikes and horrible paint jobs, just isn't doing it for me. I don't hate the beasts, but I don't really care either. Beast Hunters has made it easy for me to stop collecting.

I just think,Some TF fans get carried away whenever something new comes out. Some/most on-line TF fans don't accept change that well.

I don't mind the beefed molds with the spikes & extra weapons/accessories. I think Beasthunters deluxe wheeljack looks like a better mold because of it's beefed up design. I never cared for the sleek/skinny design that TFP 2012 Deluxe Wheeljack had.

It's ironic that internet TF fans complained they hated the 2012 TFP toys because they were too small in their size classes as far as height, widht, lenght & weight went. THE IRONIC PART IS THE 2013 BEASTHUNTERS TOYS ARE BIGGER IN THEIR SIZE CLASSES & HEAVIER BY DEFAULT. How funny it is that nothing pleases internet TF fans, they always find a way to complain & thrash everything in the over excessive amounts.

(Grimlock's getting YET ANOTHER toy out of that)
Wait, what? Unless I forgot one, the last Grimlock toy we got was in, what, 2008, 2009 with Animated? Masterpiece Grimlock?

I also don't mind a bunch of newer Grimlock toys. Because the Grimlock Persona & designs are so unique & epic awesome.

Here's a quick list of Grimlock new molds/repaints that were released from 1996 thru 2012.

1- A whole bunch of Grimlock repaints using the 1996 Beastwars deluxe sized Dinobot toy mold.

2- 2001 Rid deluxe Grimlock construction robot toy combiner.

3- ALt & BT Grimlock.

4- Titanium 6 inch War within Grimlock.

5- Energon Grimlock & Swoop 2 pack deluxes combiner.

6- Takara PVC/Hasbro HOC Grimlock.

7- Animated toy line Grimlock toys that got released in the voyager & basic sizes. with the basic toy getting a repaint.

8- Classics 1.0 deluxe size Grimlock.

9- Takara Masterpiece Grimlock that got released in G-1 colors with a apron. Takara MP Grimlock in Marvel comics colors with a kings crown. Hasbro Masterpiece Grimlock.

10- 2013 generations FOC Voyagers sized Grimlock.

11- Botcon SG Grimlock toy using the classics 1.0 Grimlock toy.

12- Takara Myclone Grimlock toy.

13- A few statue Grimlocks.

It's not that it's new and different. It's that, as far as I'm concerned, it's new and ugly. I have no problem with change. My favorite TF shows happen to feature the most radical departures in the franchise's history (Beast Wars and Beast Machines). The simple fact is, that the Beast Hunters line does not appeal to me aesthetically, and I feel no desire to own them. And I'm not going to sit here and talk myself into buying something I don't much like. And I wasn't aware that,

counted as excessive trashing and complaining. I thought I was being mild mannered there. I didn't shout, "Ruined forever!" even once.

Exactly, we already had a couple pretty dang good Geewun-style Grimlocks, and even a spare mediocre one from Energon, plus a Cybertronian-mode one in Titaniums. MP Grimlock's near-perfect both as a Masterpiece toy and on your Classics shelf. So why do we need them foisting another dang Grimlock on us? What purpose does the FoC Grimlock toy serve? Resources would've been way better spent making a new Snarl or Sludge or some of them, so people that wanted to could start filling out an actual team of Dinobots, rather than a team of Grimlocks.

To be fair we've barely seen 10% of the 2013 Beasthunters toy line. Their is still about 90% more left to be seen. So yes most on-line TF fans are getting carried away in their hate compaigns as they normally do.

It's not the one reply opinion I mind. It's the over excessive REPEATIVE replies opinions I mind where some/most TF internet fans troll & dominate all the internet TF message forums. By jumping in & out of every Thread & voicing their hate opinions. state your opinion once in one thread in one forum. their is no need to to post the same hate opinion in 5 different TF moderated forums spread across 50+ threads discussion the topic. This I call trolling/domination. All this really does is ruin threads & makes hasbro so upset they rarely visit the TF moderated forums looking for SANE/COMPETENT feedback.

IMHO,Because the Classics 1.0 deluxe Grimlock wasn't that great of a sculpt in either mode. 1.0 Grimlock was deluxe & the toy needed to be bigger. Many fans said the dino mode looked liked a Velociraptor & not a T-rex.

Energon Grimlock looked like a homage to the 1989 Classics Pretender Grimlock inner robot toy.

Titanium 6 inch Grimlock was a beyond decent toy. problem is it had no dino mode.

The only awesome Grimlock toy we got was the Masterpiece Grimlock toy. but it's kinda over sized for fans classics display shelves.

The 2008 Animated voyager Grimlock toy was complete garbage in both modes. thanks to the animated toy line themed toddler friendly sculpts coupled with the teen titans designs.

Their was a definate need for another Grimlock toy. I think the FOC Voyager Grimlock toy is beyond decent & worth buying.

Grimlock has a great persona & decent designs. I don't mind getting a new mold grimlock toy every year. it's leaps & bounds better than all these over excessive megatrons, starscream, bumblebee's arcees, soundwaves, optimus prime's,ratchets toys we get every year.

To be fair, I'm basing my opinions solely on what I've seen, not on what might be down the road. Based on what I've seen, I'm not interested in Beast Hunters. But moreover than that, I was looking for a good place to stop collecting in the first place. I've gotten the collecting bug out of me.

That's great. So why are you quoting me and using me as an example of this kind of behavior? Because other than maybe 5 or 6 posts I've made about the new line across 3 different forums, I don't think I qualify as someone that trolls/dominates a thread.

Mako, you're definitely not a troll.

From what we've seen I'm not really interested, but that's my main attitude towards Prime in general, not singling out Beast Hunters particularly. I'll watch the show. If I catch it. maybe. or not. Y'know whatever. I'm certainly not buying the toys.
