I only recently learned the stereotypical New England accent. I mean, there's loads of accents in the UK, there must be even more over there! But all movies and video games give me is like the same three.
Eh, I'm from Central California, so I pretty much sound like the people in movies and TV. Pulling off an international TFV meetup would be quite a feat, and I think I could probably stand a weekend of hanging out with you guys at BotCon or something.

That would be seriously awesome. Man, I wish I was going to Botcon this year. I just couldn't swing the finances in time.

Fuck Botcon, we should just arrange a meetup somewhere and chill.

Long as there's an N64 available so I can show O6 the true meaning of "No Mercy". Ooooh yeeuhh!

I'll also wanna put on a BBQ with Scourge, since I've talked food with him 'nuff times before.

...Yeah, might have to save our pennies for this one, fellas. I've never even been to the States, so you'd all have to show me round too, and make LOL BRITISH TOURIST jokes at my expense. Buy me toothpaste and stuff.

I don't care what anyone says, I am one of the best players in the world. (Or I was several years ago.)

Also my ex-girlfriend has my N64, the fucking whore. (No, really. Cheated on me with a friend. Sucked ass.)

Three days ago I bought Metroid: Zero Mission on the DS. Today I beat it on the normal setting. Game is hella' fun! I've only ever played the original Metroid on the NES, and that game is a beast to slog through. I don't know why I have such a fondness for the Metroid series based on having played only that game, but I'm glad I do, because Zero Mission takes everything that drove me crazy about the original and makes it FUN! The remixed tunes are excellent, the improved graphics really break up the monotony of the original, there's more boss fights, better boss fights, cinematics, new gameplay techniques like the ability to grab onto ledges and climb up. Little things that make everything a joy to play. Oh, and possibly the biggest improvement- there's a map!! I could spend days, months even wandering aimlessly in the original Metroid. I never had a map! Thankfully the remake comes with one built in. Makes my life so much easier. This really is a great game and a great remake of the original. I'm going to go out and pick up Metroid: Fusion next. This game has justified all those years of loving the tortuous original. :D

I am a hundred percent behind this. I'd even offer to host it, but my apartment's kind of small and not that great. But if we can make it happen, that'd be awesome. I'd even do my best to get ahold of some venison, even if I gotta go out and bring the deer down myself.

Too right. It's one of the better remakes I've ever played, ESPECIALLY the wall-climbing mechanic. It's so cool to shoot aliens while hanging from a ledge. And the cutscenes don't hurt, either; they don't try and cram loads of extraneous story into what was a very simple game to begin with, but they just add a liiiittle bit of character to Ridley, Kraid et al.

Well, none of us are THAT big are we? =3 And if you get the deer, can you do it by hand? I hate finding buckshot.

EDIT: Wait, wait! If we all hang out what are we gonna do about the fact that everyone's name is Nick?? D=

I dunno, I think Shocky and myself are pretty much Sasquatches, but yeah, point. Bigger downside is, my apartments won't let me have my grill in here. Something dumb about not wanting an open fire on a wooden porch, I dunno. As for getting the deer by hand..I think I'd have to be like, Wolverine or Ted Nugent or like that. I'll see what I can do, but we might have to settle for beef or like that. Unless I can find alligator!

EDIT: Or fish! I can do fish! Fish is pretty fantastic.
