I got online multiplayer working on WFC!! You can find me using the same user name: Mako Crab (or MakoCrab). I'm gonna be on there throughout the day and tonight.
So what's everyone's user names on the PS3/360? Can we plan a time to hit co-op together?

shockwave1701 on the 360 and O6 is on there too. I'll look you and send the friend request. Although lately I've been hardcore addicted to Minecraft or watching Voyager. Still be cool to have the option anyway.

Cool. Can I actually play co-op with someone using a 360 network since I'm on the PS3 network?
And I gotta say- I totally suck at deathmatch. Good lord, it's like everyone smelled fresh blood in the water and came after me. I couldn't stop dying!! Guys were killing me in 2 hits and meanwhile, my most concentrated attacks did minimal damage. Escalation and Campaign co-op are better, since I'm pretty good against the computer AI.

If you're asking if someone on a 360 can play against someone on PSN, the answer is no.
Also, welcome to WFC MP. It's like that for everybody. Especially if you've just started and your various classes are still on their lower levels. You get bonuses and better abilities the higher your classes are and I think there's even a bonus for reaching Prime Mode. But yeah, just get used to dying. A lot. Even with having all of my classes maxed out on Prime Mode, I still get my ass handed to me pretty regularly in multiplayer. But, so does everyone else so it doesn't bother me.
And I LOVE Escalation. Particularly the Trypticon map on DLC 2. I've been able to solo that up to wave 22 once.

Yeah, I was worried about that. Well that sucks.

Thanks! I've been getting a better feel for the multiplayer stuff. Escalation is awesome. I was able to join in on a match that had just started, and me and 3 other guys got to level 7. It was cool.

Was tweaking my personal characters a bit, adding in new abilities and stuff. It made a big difference. I lasted at least a little longer and scored a few more kills.
One thing though- every time I go into multiplayer, i always wind up being a Decepticon. Does it just randomly assign you a character based on which team ('bot or 'con) needs a member? It's just weird, because I always wind up being a Decepticon. Not once have I been an Autobot yet.

It balances the teams as evenly as possible, at least on the xbox. So if the Decepticons need one more to make them even, you'll be on that team. But, if you play it enough you'll be on each side almost equally.

Oh yeah! I beat Castlevania: Lords of Shadow a bit ago! Really fun-ass game. Not the most traditional Castlevania (especially musically; I had to replace all the music with cover soundtracks and stuff) but great all in all. Can't wait to see what (strange?) directions they're going to take it with the 3DS and 360/PS3 sequels.
So now I'm playing through Vanquish, which is a game I was pretty much told is a great single-player romp for a quick break between other games. Short, like ten hours short, and really fun. Remember the Accelerator Suits in GI Joe which were sorta-kinda out of place in that movie? Base an entire game around that where you're fighting Russian robots, and pump it up with NES-level insanity. Huge robot bosses, giant setpieces, that kinda thing. It's really cool. The voice acting and plot are hilarious; Steven Blum is doing his best Michael Ironside "Grizzled veteran badass captain" to the main character's "Maverick from Top Gun." I got it in my Christmas game binge super-cheap, played the first two levels, and set it aside for later. Now it's later! So I'm blasting through it. Really fun; look into this one.

Sounds pretty awesome, 06! I've been really sketchy about 3D Castlevanias, but I heard LoS plays more like God of War with the way he swings the whip around. If true, and based on your review, I may have to give it a rent.
I was having a good match in Team Deathmatch last night. Started smoking some Autobots left and right, when my stupid PS3 froze up! Not a connection problem. My PS3 literally froze up! It's happened a few times during the single player campaign too. Always a pain. Ah well, there's always next time.

Sounds like you're getting the hang of it though.

Yeah. The trick is not to worry about how many times I get killed. Co-op Campaign and Escalation are still my favorite. I guess since I don't have a headset, it's hard to coordinate any kind of strategy with online players. So it seems a lot of times in Deathmatch that everyone's just running around doing their own thing with no real sense of teamwork.
