Animated Review Thread

Some cartoon with big chins and a little girl that got beloved by fans and taken off TV to make way for a different show on another network. Yeah, that's fair.

Tank mode is dinky and very compact. Robot mode sorely sorely needed a weapon, he's be fantastic with a sword. As-is, open palmed hands, so he can salute. But not a lot else.
He doesn't need a weapon so much, they just should have made it so his cannons could rotate forward like they do in the show. That would have made and awesome figure alot better than he already is.

That would've helped, but the turret assembly's already awash with joints, I'd hate to think how unstable it'd be with more. A melee weapon, or any kind of handheld weapon really, would've given him more to do with his arms - even wrist blasters would've done the trick there.

Now that I have him, I agree with you that a melee weapon would have added a bit to him. I still wish they could have worked the turrets a bit better though.

Yeah, he's a good and expressive piece of work, but lacks a focal point that a handheld weapon would provide. Same's true of Universe Onslaught, who suddenly has a wealth of poses when he's given a rifle.

In other news, I fiddled with an AniBee, and he's..good. I want one now. Damnit.

Eh, I've been considering Elite Guard Bumblebee, since the paintmatch isn't as much of a problem on that version. Plus, I hear he actually has a black head (as opposed to the yellow we see in all the pics), and that sounds like it might not look too bad.

My main problem with DeluxeBee is...what am I gonna DO with him? He's not in scale with *anybody* else. Even Voyager Bulkhead's at least the right size to fight Lugnut.

Ahh, screw scale. It's never been a problem before and it won't be now.

Still getting just ActiBee. I'll get the mould with Waspy.

If you put Bumblebee with voyager Prime and leader Bulkhead, then the scale isn't too much of an issue. It's Ratchet, Prowl and the rest that come up a bit short in comparision. Scale has never been too much of a huge deal for me unless the proportions between others are extremly off, but I guess you'll get that at times.

Eh, scale wasn't really much of an issue to me either, until Animated. Thing is, the sizes are really distinctive of the characters, and I don't want to have Bumblebee hanging out on my desk with Prowl and Ratchet when he's gonna look HUGE in comparison.

One figure I will gripe about the scale issue on is Lugnut. He really needed to be a leader class, being the biggest decepticon next to Megatron.
