Trigger Happy - Weird Al Yankovic
Theme from Rocky XIII - ditto (it's a playlist)

(Come to think, I have safety pins all down my Jagermeister bag..but they're holding the thing together)
Nothing says "I'm an individual" like dressing the same as all the other punks.
I've got The Becoming, by NIN, on a brand new spiffy copy of The Downward Spiral. I lost my old one. Sucky.
During last year's "big burn", I burned my original copy of that album to my PC and MP3 playing phone, so now I don't have to worry about losing it because it's in the stack with all the other CDs I don't play.

I'll go tell Glenn that, he's my neighbor, lives at the end of the block. I'm not surprised it sucks though, I've always found his personal music to be hit-or-miss at best.

Seriously? I like a good few of his earlier solo songs, but this is just really crappy industrial, yeah. Mind, I don't like his work with the Misfits too much either--downloading the discography this weekend and listening to it reaffirmed that.

Hey, I *tried,* man, I really did. I listened to everything. It just didn't work. The songs are too short, the lyrics often are shitty and there's very little dynamic to it--*palm mute* once in a while, you guys! Throw an interesting riff in once in a while! The post-Danzig Misfits are slightly better at this, with the occasional good song in Dig Up Her Bones, Crimson Ghost, Descending Angel and Mars Attacks, but even a lot of these are pretty crappy.

Yes, he really is my neighbor, right at the end of my block. After the earthquake of '94, his chimney collapsed and he took forever to fix it, he left up a huge pile of bricks that didn't get used for a decade. I've always wondered what he'd say if I walked up to him at the store one of the times I've seen him and said "you are milking 'Mother' way too much."
Hmm, Misfits is something one cannot dismiss so casually because of the formative aspect and the drive behind it. But different strokes for different folks, I guess (not a very punk attitude).

Heh. You do know, of course, I was largely kidding, yeah?
I'm a huge fan of their style. Glenn's singing, the loud-ass guitars, the horror movie lyrics, all great stuff. In fact, at the time I'd found 'em, it was pretty much exactly what I wanted. Now, if only I could catch one of these shows where Danzig and Doyle play Misfits songs together.
As for the newer era, that stuff's cool, too. Though, my favorites by them are more "Saturday Night", "The Abominable Dr. Phibes Rises Again" (if you don't know this one, O6, check it out, for real), and "Forbidden Zone". Also, the new Misfits being around made it possible to meet Jerry Only, which I consider a high point in my life (he said I was ROCKIN'! It made me happy like a lil' girl).

I dunno. It just doesn't gel with me for some reason or other. I blame production and stylistic differences.
I've checked out Phibes, didn't grab me at first, might take a couple listens or so.

That's awesome.

Well, sumbitch. Thought it might cause of the longerness and the kinda...I dunno, it's more of a metally song, and for those guys, the thing's practically a rock opera. Plus it's rad.

Wait, you 'lost' it? Stupid.
It..disappeared. Someone thieved it from the lounge, I'm inclined to believe. The same happened with Things Falling Apart, which pisses me off because it's one of those albums I really do like when no-one else does. Slipping Away, man. I still have the cases, and that does suck.
Nothing says "I'm an individual" like dressing the same as all the other punks.
Heh. People assume I'm a huge metal fan because I have long hair and a fair few friends of mine are huge on the local metal scene, but there's really all sorts. My glaring lack of piercings and tattoos means I just don't get the street cred., yo'. What a gosh darn shame.

Oh, I have it burned as well, but that's just not the same at all. Quality loss, portability, having it on the shelf with the other albums, and sentimental value made the re-purchase worthwhile. My CD player's a vertical tower, and it looks tres nifteh spinning around through the window.
I'll go tell Glenn that, he's my neighbor, lives at the end of the block.
Heh! That's cool. You live near anyone else quasi-famous?
I'm listening to I Hate Guns, by Minuit. They're a local DnB/electronica group with rather abstract Bjork-esque vocals, well worth a look. Check the spiffy animated video:

Killing Joke- Love Like Blood
I remembered about this band after having a conversation with my friend about The Joker. 'Sgood
On a side note, would any of you be interested in the superhero universe I've been cooking up?
