It's a nice touch to see why Tomar Tu hasn't been feeling well lately in this story. Constantly having to concentrate to keep it hidden would mean he probably hasn't slept in a while. Which also explains why he wouldn't engage in the fight last issue. Any lapse in his concentration at this point would have probably let it go.andersonh1 wrote:Hal discovers what Tomar Tu is hiding

GREEN LANTERN: EARTH ONE VOL. 1 is a modern retelling of astronaut Hal Jordan’s story as he explores unknown worlds and discovers a new destiny with the Green Lantern Corps.
“Approaching this as an Earth One story gives us the opportunity to go back to the core concept of Green Lantern and interpret it through the lens of a modern, grounded sci-fi story while still being true to the Silver Age roots of Hal Jordan,” says Hardman. “Having storyboarded Interstellar, this is an approach I’m comfortable with and have wanted to explore in comics. Realistic sci-fi is only the beginning of this story; we have something much more epic in store.”
GREEN LANTERN: EARTH ONE VOL. 1 is a radical take on the iconic Lantern mythology, with compelling characters, stunning artwork and an intriguing storyline that is a perfect entry point for readers new to the Green Lantern universe. Hardman also illustrates the book, with colors by Jordan Boyd (SAVAGE THINGS, Invisible Republic).
“Hal Jordan is a smart, capable person with a space and science background who has a lot of untapped potential even before he finds the ring,” says Bechko. “That means he’s going to approach everything the ring does from the perspective of a scientist, but he’s going to employ it for action and adventure. The result for us as writers is the opportunity to fully embrace the science fiction aspects of the story in a way that would be impossible with a lot of other characters.”
Yeah, overall I'd have to say I'm disappointed with the story of "Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps" honestly. Green Lanterns I feel has been more compelling and actually feels like it's making an impact. While Corps does a great job juggling so many characters, it doesn't seem like they have found a direction for it, taking a step forward but then two steps back. Or otherwise fails to capitalize on the story elements it introduces. The alliance of the Green and Yellow Lanterns is interesting, but yet here they are already setting it up for being broken apart. They de-powered Kyle back to a Green Lantern, but sacrificed his White Lantern powers meaninglessly and lacking any significance. The living Krona's Gauntlet really didn't play any role in the issue it was introduced in other than being a big Hulking monster despite Sarko playing it up as the real master mind. And they still haven't even addressed the Templar Guardians or anything about Lost Army/Edge of Oblivion.andersonh1 wrote:It's interesting how the mostly Earth-based book with the rookie Green Lanterns seems to be exploring more of the origins of the Corps than the book with the Corps in it.
