TimeLines (BotCon) 2013 discussion

Ancillary, non-main-line stuff. Star Wars TF, Speed Stars, Titanium Series, Robot Heroes, that sort of thing. They're kinda neat, but we all know they're not really that important. Admit it, you know it's true.

Hey, they COULD have done that if they didn't have to use the new tooling on Stryka and Obsidian...two toys that were completely irrelevant to the set!

Exactly. A Voyager Megaplex is arguably the most important thing you could put in a MW set, and they decided that was the one to cheap out on? The hell, FunPub?

I would also argue that Strika or Obsidian could have gone without a new head. Warpath's head isn't too far off, and it's not like the rest of that toy looks terribly like Strika in the first place.

Really wouldn't have minded seeing the Troop Builder set this year be three Deluxe-mold 'Megatron Decoys' named Megaplex, Megastorm, and Megabolt...

To be blunt paying for these extreme tripple/Quadruple+prices on ebay/botcon for these GLORIFIED repaints TFCC club/conventions toys is epic ridiculous. If I had this kind of spare money laying around,I'd use it to buy those 3rd party not-TF toys instead----> At the very least here,I'm getting a newer mold instead of a repaint----> At the very least here I'm getting TF character molds designs Hasbro/Takara refuse to make or worse create but get the designs/size level wrong time after time.

TFSS Update: The "CLUB exclusive" Figures Have Arrived at the TFCC Warehouse.

The official Transformers Collectors' Club has issued the following update regarding the long awaited TFSS figures first announced at last year's BotCon. The first figures have arrived at the TFCC warehouse and they hope to start shipping before BotCon later this month.

Just a quick note to let you know that the figures are in our warehouse! We are going to do the best we can to get them out before BotCon (no guarantees). But we need your help. If you have moved since the program started last fall, we need you log in at: mastercollector.com/fss/event.cfm?eid=3 and update your address.

This needs to be done by Monday morning 9am Eastern Time so we can work on generating the shipping documents. We cannot be responsible for reshipments for anything that is sent to an incorrect address. If you can't remember your password, go to the club: TransformersClub.com/shop and use the "remember me" function under the My Account tab. Please do not call as we are preparing for BotCon and we don't have the capacity to handle many calls and get ready for the show.

After the first shipment goes out, we will let you know what the billing dates will be for the two installments.

We appreciate your patience in this program. The delay has been very frustrating to us as well, and the manufacturer has assured us that it won't happen again. We know you will love your figures!

Thanks for your support,

Brian

I can't see this happening as those are three different persona/spark characters from three different alternate G-1 universes.

Of course--but all three of them are dudes who share a body with a Megatron, yet are (more or less?) a wholly separate character. So it totally makes sense. And I can see it on the packaging, and...ugh, Prowl, I hate you, why don't we work for FunPub?

Thread Update: Rumored List of BotCon 2013 Attendee Only Figures. http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/ ... res/27583/

"We've been sitting on a list of rumored BotCon 2013 attendee only figures for a while now, but since this morning's reveal of Machine Wars Sandstorm lends some credence to the list we've decide to go ahead and share it. Keep in mind the list below is "rumored", although Machine Wars Sandstorm appears to be confirmed and Machine Wars Thundercracker has already been hinted at by TFCC."

•Machine Wars Prowl from Classics Mirage
•Machine Wars Sandstorm from Transfrormes: Dark of the Moon Skyhammer
•Machine Wars Starscream from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Terradive
•Machine Wars Thundercracker from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Dirge
•Classics Starscream mold repainted into the Rainmakers

Personally,STILL NO THANKS. I ain't paying the Ebay nor Botcon Tripple/Quadruple prices for repaints. Paying $55+for a deluxe is ridiculous, paying $80+ for a voyager is absurd

If the Rainmakers thing proves true......my bank account and I are going to have issues.

The Prowl (recoloured from Mirage) would more or less establish that Fun Publications is not squeemish about re-using moulds, even for at-show figures. (It would not be the first time a mould was used more than once. But, it would definitely establish re-using moulds as "a thing", even at the convention.)

And, the Skyhammer recolour has been confirmed with on-line pics.

Distracted Dom....

Almost 7 months behind on the "special subscription/club figures" for 2013 & TFCC is currently only ready to ship out ONE figure. Seems like TFCC should be shipping out THREE figures & not just ONE. http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-new ... ng-177789/
