I kinda like how their armor looks Japanese- but is this gonna be a stop-motion film? I thought it'd be CGI.

I'm not sure but I think those are statues so the filmmakers have an idea of what the characters will look like during filming.

Edit: Yeah it'll be CGI. There's a picture of a guy wearing a motion capture turtle suit somewhere online. Also saw an image from I think the UK Toy Fair showing the new movie Turtles. Apparently Donatello now wears glasses, that have tape holding the frames together.

First official trailer was released today.

I'm glad they are actually going to be Mutant Ninja Turtles, but it sounds like they were mutated on purpose. I dunno, I'm interested in seeing the film but I'm still mixed on some of the decisions they've made with it....

Bad bad terrible bad awful terrible bad crap.

And what the fuck is with aping the Bayformers trailers? That's lazy as shit.

The faces are a real turn off and have no connection with a turtle whasoever. And why are they so damned big, not just bulked up but tall?

And being made by April's dad and the Shredder?

I like Megan Fox,So this will be my incentive to see this 2014 TMNT Movie when it gets released at my local video rental store. Perhaps I might wait till it arrives for free on Cable.

I have no desire to see this movie. Especially when the excellent Nickelodeon TMNT toon is hitting all the right notes. Funny thing is- I did like all of the lines spoken by the turtles in the trailer. But I'm really not feeling the rest of it.

And the final nail in the coffin: they've cast Johnny Knoxville, 43 years old, to play Leonardo.

What makes you think this is a bad idea? I mean, stop and think. Knoxville has proven himself to be a decent enough comic relief actor in the past; I just saw The Last Stand (the Schwarzenegger movie) a few days ago and he was pretty solid in that.

Mind you, I'm not sure he's a great pick for Leonardo, but he could be trying to branch out. It also all depends on how they're going tonally. Leonardo in the cartoon wasn't exactly the stoic, serious leader-type that he is in most other TMNT media, the same way Raphael wasn't the angsty loner. (Mikey and Donatello managed to escape the transition relatively unharmed.) So, who knows, we'll see.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.
