Octopunch shot Primus, Primus screamed, Unicron woke up early, tried to eat Cybertron, and died. That's the end of the US comics run.

Oh, so it was in the US run! Awesome.

I always LOVED that bit. As you can tell.

Say what you will about the author, he had a nack for bringing obscure characters.. *coy expression.. OUT OF THEIR SHELLS!! 8D

It's not like they were obscure 'then,' though. Then they were new toys on the shelves. It's not like you just 'create' a toy to be obscure. They only become obscure by not being used.

Dude, if you could find an Octopunch (or ANY Pretender) on a shelf when that comic came out over here, I would've given you a Gold Ego Puff Point.

Were Pretenders even contemporary when that issue came out in the States? I doubt it. Probably the era of Micromasters and Actionmasters, no? Could be wrong.

October 89, so maaaybe they'd be around still. But besides that, Octopunch came out the year before that, and was Bludgeon's flunkie. He was around all the way into G2. That's hardly obscure.

What? I'm hot.

Honestly, I would've updated the thing *years* ago, but my copy of Fireworks that I used to make animated GIFs got stolen with my old laptop. This one was still stored on THE INTERNET, so I had it good to go, but I'll need to get off my ass and get a program for creating GIFs if ever want a shiny new animated Perverted Sigpic.

In terms of Avatars, I've changed those way too much lately to tie in to a specific identity, and it's not like any of them were too appropriate for that sort of thing anyway. <_< I really liked that Kicker one I had way back on the old board though. And the Armada Megatron from before that.

PS: I understood/lol'd at your sigpic too, G.

Paint Shop Pro has a program to animate GIFs with it natively. Old versions are insanely easy to find.

I think several of us have pics of ourselves in the Halloween thread. At least Scourge and I both do. But yeah, most of the time I just imagine people's avs. To this day, I still imagine O6 as Bruce Lee and Prowl as Kicker.

And the Octopunch sig was freakin' hilarious!

Isn't it? Brandon Lee maybe? Or am I just completely way off?
