TimeLines (BotCon) 2013 discussion

Ancillary, non-main-line stuff. Star Wars TF, Speed Stars, Titanium Series, Robot Heroes, that sort of thing. They're kinda neat, but we all know they're not really that important. Admit it, you know it's true.

'Cause...shoulders are a part of the arm, and...!

Hey, look, it's *that* kind of fan!

I understood, I was trying to express that his robot mode overall isn't very similar to Obsidian, and he has regular hands, his spinny rotors are his forearms. Incinerator would have been a better, and less used, choice.

Um, can I be the one to ask why? Obsidian never had spinny rotor hands, the rotors were on his shoulders.
You and your damned logic! ;) Good point. I guess that makes Powerdive a better choice since his rotors aren't actually his hands. But Incinerator is a better choice IMO because of the alt mode. Also Obsidian didn't have any hands at all.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

The toy didn't, but in the show he had cool spindly fingers that could pop out of his gun barrels when he wasn't using them. I kinda get what you mean though.

And I do agree that Incinerator deserves a repaint and it's a crime that he hasn't gotten one.

I can't really see Incinerator as Obsidian personally. Sure he's an Osprey, but that mold just seems a bit too bulky for Obsidian to me.

Although it would be cool to see Incinerator get a repaint of some sort.

Yeah, his long fingers on the show is what inspired my idea of Incinerator's rotor blades being hinged to fold forward.

Nah, Powerdive was a lighter blue with a lot of grey on him. Besides, either way you'd be screwed, because Highbrow was green.

And, a preview of the comic has been releases. (Actually, it seems to be more of a preview page, as I cannot see any of the previous pages.)

Putting aside reasonable expectations, it is hard to judge the writing based on one page. The art though....ugh. It looks like a bastardization of Senior and Roche.

I think Josh Burcham is drawing the book this year. I'm not really familiar with his work, but half the posters on the IDW forums have a signature picture with "Josh Burcham: to Draw Transformers" in their picture, so he seems to be well-known over there.

Burcham is primarily a colourist for IDW:
