Re: Animated Review Thread
Oh no. Are we getting spam already?
Re: Animated Review Thread
Possibly. One of us will look into it later.
If this is spam, I invite the poster to meet me in Chelsea for a tour of the water-front. Boston Harbor is beatiful from the inside of a trunk.

Re: Animated Review Thread
Just bought TFA Activators Lockdown. I like the Activator line, I really do, but this figure is my least favorite so far. His car mode, while looking cartoony in his deluxe toy, is even more so here. His bot mode looks good, if you can get past the fact that he doesn't have his hook, or his EMP generator. If you are a fan of the character, then pick him up, if for no other reason than to get every verison of him. Other wise just invest in the deluxe class toy. Trust me, you'll be the better for it.
3/10.

The Activators are very expensive for what you get, in my opinion. I'd say for price alone, spend two more $ and get the deluxe version.

I'm inclined to agree with you, Andy, but with one highly notable exception: Bumblebee. The Activator version is a better toy in almost every respect, and two dollars cheaper and in scale to boot. Just too bad he doesn't have his stingers in any form...

I may get Prime next, since I do like the first wave of Activators.
Here's a link to a brief video review I did.

Re: Animated Review Thread
The Activators are less than half the price of Deluxes here, heh. Yay for price hikes, yay for them also not being across the board. They're still expensive for what they are, but like Prowl notes, ActiBee is ten flavours of spiffy. Bizarre as the retooled Cliffjumper version is, I'll be getting me some o' dat.
Think I'll hold out for Activators Megs and Grims, most of the others look ehhn. By all rights, this subline should've been the mighty return of Flipchanger Basics. Ah well, at least we have 'Bee. And 'Screamer's Alright.

The thing I like about the Screamer one is he's more show accurate than the Voyager class toy.
