Good luck trying to do something with the Constructicons--you're gonna need it, with what appears to be Long Haul being the last one we're gonna get.

I finally found and bought Sideswipe. Phew. That's better. And he's pretty good! Could use another leg joint, honestly, and the feet suck, but he looks pretty cool.

Gah, seriously? When did they cancel the others? I thought we were at least getting Scrapper and another one.

Nabbed Demolisher, Human Alliance Bumblebee and Sideswipe. I pretty sure I can contort Demolisher into the torso for my Devastator project but if I had bought him just for existing robot and alt modes I think I'd be pissed. The whole thing is just one big rotaty thing. HA Bumblebee is awesome. Great design, sculpt, articulation, features, and his battle mask flips down just like in the movies. HA Sideswipe. Epic fail. The legs have nearly zero articulation to them at all and the feet unlike the deluxe version cannout be worked into something that will actually stand. The rest of the figure is great, but the legs just kill the whole thing.

They didn't cancel them, because if they were cancelled, we would have heard about them being ready to produce in the first place. Hightower never had a robot mode to begin with--even in the Movie designs. And Overload's robot mode was never finished. So Scrapper's the only other one we *could* conceivably get a toy of--and we were never given any indication that we would.

Hasbro even said, at Botcon or something, that we "may not get individual toys of all the Constructicons." Which, actually, makes sense--what with their model for Devastator. In that moment, it became clear--Hasbro had likely suggested to put Devastator in the movie, and they didn't fully understand what the hell that *meant.* Combiners are individuals, and the movie team didn't get that--or chose to ignore it--and thus, instead we got what we did. In fact, up to this point, we've not seen two sentient individuals who have individual robot and altmodes who then combine into a single gestalt robot. The closest is Jet Convoy (ha, still love that) and even then, Jetfire's dead.

Sad to hear about HA Sideswipe. Glad I got the Deluxe now.

I went to Target for milk, and wound up getting Human Alliance Bumblebee! And I wrote an actual, full-length review of him! It's in the Reviews section!

In lieu of the other constructicons being released, I say use movie 1 Bonecrusher as a limb. He can be made into a smallish leg or arm quite nicely.

And he did show up in vehicle form in ROTF so it works I guess. I'm still having minimal luck getting these things to hook together, but I've only had minimal time to actually try it so... Individually I've been able to contort most of them into something resembling their original G1 merge forms, it just seems to be getting them to stick together that's going to be the trick. I did succeed at getting Long Haul and Mixmaster to hook well enough to pick it up and not fall apart so that's progress I guess.

There we go. So it's more of a boot than a full leg, I'm not sure how you'd make the connection at the top.

The Bonecrusher Boot's pretty neat there. Maybe figure out a way to hook somethin' under the wheels? Looks like some extra merge parts are gonna be in order, either way.

Also, the Landmine/Grindcore mold can be turned into an almost perfect match for G1 Scrapper's leg, if that helps any.

Well now I gotta track down Landmine or Grindcore. And Bonecrusher. Bonecrusher could also be used as an arm, which I'm running short of. The claw part could be used as part of an upper leg and afford Devs more posability. I have about three things that could potentially be used as legs (I took pics, but my cord is MIA for the moment so I'll post them later). I also have yet to figure out exactly what to do with Demolishor. He might make a good torso, but I think I'll want to fill in with other bots. He actually turns into a decent representation of G1 Scrapper leg.
