Morality isn't the issue here. It doesn't matter how Megatron justified his own actions, the point is that his plans to alter history were extremely dangerous and impulsive. There is a difference between doing what needs to be done to achieve a means to an end and what is overly excessive, and Megatrons plans were certainly over excessive.

Where did I not acknowledge that? Megatron believed they were in reason, but that's because Megatron is crazy and...

You know what? Screw this. I'm gonna go watch the ROTF trailer. Again. For the thousandth time.

Look, now we have made O6 punish himself.

Again though, putting aside the time-travel question, wiping out a hostile/potentially dangerous species is morally defensible. If a species constantly thwarts you, and harms your interests, you should get rid of them. If you can, yet you do not, you are essentially accepting what ever happens to you and your.

No matter how many times you say that, I'm never going to agree with it. As far as I'm concerned a species would cease to be a threat long before you completely wipe them, and as such it would be unnecessary and a waste to commit genocide. And it would have to be a pretty extreme situation IMO for it to be "morally defensible".
