Transformers - ongoing series
Re: Transformers - ongoing series
I'm am glad to hear that Optimus didn't actually die. Man that angle's been played out to death. The metaphoric death of his ideals? Or perhaps the death of him as a figurehead? It at least opens some opportunities to have him go off and do some soul searching and (most likely) return later.

To answer Crab's hidden question:
Dom
-it makes sense
Spoiler
It is the death of Optimus and the return of Orion Pax. Prime quits and is looking forward to not being everybody's damned mother.

Re: Transformers - ongoing series
Well, besides the fact that it revealed the true nature of Galvatron’s plans, brought that series of events to a close, changed Cyclonus’s standing within the factions, broke open the Matrix, made Cybertron habitable again, ended the war between the Autobots and Decepticons, resulted in all of the neutral Cybertronians returning and finally causing the exile of Optimus Prime, yeah, you’re right. It was totally meaningless and didn’t affect anything.Mako Crab wrote:HAHA!! That's awesome. Re: Transformers - ongoing series
And, when you break all of that down, it was really just a question of moving pieces around. Galvatron is off the board, and may well be replaced later with "another Galvatron" of some sort. Cybertron is being re-settled....and will likely resembled an old Cybertron from another iteration of TF. And, fissures are visible in the "Pax Cybertronia" now. This is a soft-reboot, like it or not. And, those, by their nature tend to be pointless.
I trust Barber at least. But, I am not going to pretend that much of that last 5 years worth of comics are going to much matter.

I hate the internet sometimes. I genuinely can't tell if you're being sarcastic to my sarcasm, or weren't aware that I was being sarcastic in the first place.Mako Crab wrote:Glad we're agreed on that.BWprowl wrote: yeah, you’re right. It was totally meaningless and didn’t affect anything.
